I wish that I could even give it more stars than that it deserves 10 Stars these people are wonderful they know what they're doing and within a day they have changed the way my dog Acts I'm so happy that he is getting better I'm definitely going to use their service again and again until he's ready to be a service dog

We have a nervous/reactive/unique Frenchie. Both Mary & Kenzie bring immense knowledge, compassion, high expectations and offer both our dogs an incredible facility when we arrive for training.
I feel so fortunate that they are both willing to look for the best version of my dogs!

If I could give a 100 star review I would. The trainers are exceptionally well educated. They have created a welcoming environment for all dog breeds and temperaments. I’ll continue to have my dogs trained with Kenzie and training with play

We first took our 2 boxer/staffy girl pups to train & bond last year & it was such an amazing experience, I’ve trained all my dogs my whole life but these pups were tricky & Kenzie taught me a whole world of knowledge I never even knew! She helped my significant other & I to successfully train & bond with our girls. Then recently we picked up a baby wolfhound & took him to puppy class & was amazed at how smart he is & how much he learned for being such a lil old soul. We will always & forever go to Kenzie with any training needs with any of current & future fur babies!

I leave every session motivated and educated! I have been working with Kenzie since our puppy was 8 weeks old through private sessions and most recently the puppy class. Her training and guidance has been instrumental in my puppy’s development, and she makes it fun and enjoyable. Both Kenzie and Sarah are extremely knowledgeable and you can just tell that absolutely love what they do!

We really enjoyed the Training with Play group puppy class. We have a very rambunctious 5 1/2 month old cattle dog mix and she is stubborn. Kenzie and Sarah embraced the challenges of training difficult dogs. When we arrived for class they asked how things were going, and provided instructions on how to train appropriate puppy behavior. They were eager to tackle the problems and helped us train our puppy to stop jumping and biting. We are planning to continue training with them. The classes are fun and Kenzie and Sarah are very knowledgeable. We highly recommend taking your dog to Training with Play!

Professional, educated, compassionate. Training With Play’s trainers, specifically McKenzie Hegstad are an exceptional asset to have in this valley. In an industry often full of competing, confusing theories and ideologies, Kenzie simply takes the time required to learn each dog’s needs and fine tunes her curriculum (private and class training) to the individual dog and human partner based on their aptitudes, needs, skills, comfort with tools and concepts and most importantly the comfort of the dog and and wellbeing of the relationship - All while having fun with play of course!If something isn’t working or a novel challenge presents itself, TWP’s trainers are a collective wealth of information, sounding board and tireless researchers on the forefront of both the newest science and hands-on experience with a variety of dog breeds, personalities and human needs.I was lucky enough to be able to utilize Kenzie’s day training services for my sensitive puppy for socialization and basic life skills as well a month of board and train as a large, exuberant, intact male adolescent. When my schedule could not accommodate his age-specific needs I was completely confident he was in the best hands. At each weekly meeting it was evident both their and my relationship with the dog were solid and my dog happy, healthy, learning and progressing. Kenzie was quick to check in if anything presented out of the ordinary and come up with a plan for meeting the dog’s physical and mental needs (including snuggle time). She was also a thorough and patient human educator and supplied follow up details and directions to ensure our continued success with newly learned skills.Kenzie and the team at TWP safely exposed my dog to more novel situations, circumstances and opportunities to learn and refine new skills than I ever could have. Money very well spent! That giant, well behaved, now-nearly-adult-dog, still wags and wiggles whenever we pass TWP’s class and board and train locations. A clear indication of his positive experiences there. I can’t imagine a more resounding endorsement for his time in TWP’s capable care and training.

I am a first time owner of a Belgian malinois, Mielo. I started with puppy class but quickly learned that Mielo would do best in a board and train program. I was very pleased with my experience with Sarah and Kenzie. We met 1-2 times per week to train in different locations - my home , the park, a hardware store etc. They are both very knowledgeable and their dedication to dogs is very evident. Mielo loves Sarah and her 3 mals- she took excellent care of my pup while he was in her care. You’re in the best of hands with Training with Play!

Dog Trick Class was superfun and Kenzie Hegstad was a great trainer. Very upbeat and helpful! Great bonding with your dog! You can even get an AKC certification. Claire Silvey did the the testing.

Our puppy learned so much from his puppy class - and so did we! We feel much more confident in our ability to help teach our dog, and he is much more confident, in general. During the first class he hid under the chairs for most of the time. Six weeks later he was playing with other dogs and had improved so much with his basic manners and recall.
