Me and a group of 3 stayed in Big Sky in the Moonlight community. We made a reservation at the resturant (Moonlight Tabern) on Resi, which was confirmed so we showed up at our allotted time of 7:00pm. The staff said our reservation was canceled, which was never communicated to us, and we had no transportation to get anywhere else in the -10° weather. The manager kept repeating herself about saying it was members only (although that wasn't said on Resi), and tried to say there was a shuttle running into town, but there isn't after 5:35. There were 3-5 tables taken and plenty of tables open to seat anyone, and they wouldn't accommodate us with carry out or any food, and asked us to leave after saying that without being empathetic to any degree. How can you stay at a community and not be able to eat at the lodge? Also, they didn't allow credit cards? How is that acceptable in today's age?

I was hired as part time, then fired for being part time near immediately. seriously guys?I still have the email stating they would love to consider me for part time and they hoped I would accept their offer. then when I brought all this up to management while they were "letting me go" because they weren't looking for part time, they stated that: "I must have thought housing was free," when I had declined housing.honestly this hurt and I'll never consider this employer for anything again. they unfairly told me that I stormed off before they could tell me more; however I simply left and had heard enough. if being part time was the first and major issue after I explicitly explained to them I would be part time (and they said they'd love to work with me mind you), I really didn't need to hear anything else. they didn't even tell me what to wear before coming in and I assumed they would give me a uniform. they also had a 2nd position online with a different offer that they pretended didn't exist on my first day there when I was signing paperwork. this whole experience hurt my perception of this company, I literally had friends asking about moonlight basin and honestly this is what I'm going to tell them, and that's not including the housing situation which they didn't want to hear my opinion on nor did they include enough info on it without asking: 650 to share a room with 10 dudes, is a ripoff, and they gave very little information on this and it seemed like everyone else at the employee table thought the same thing, as I did not try to make this the conversation at lunch but the person who was going to be my roommate was there and asked if he scared me off, I told them my reasoning and I simply had several people around me agree.alot of the staff was nice but iv gotta say this might actually be the worst day one experience with a companies management that iv ever had. sorry I had an opinion and was nice enough to still offer part time but for that price you can just rent in Idaho and almost have your own place to bootNoteworthy details: The golf course in the mountains was pretty badass I'm not gunna lie. This place doesn't dress up like Shoshone but it's still really fancy and didn't tell me what to wear or expect before my first day. Vaguely it was housekeeping and they have multiple departments in that both hotel and I believe houses. I personally wasn't sure which one I was being applied to when I applied

Our Niece had her wedding there this past Saturday. It was magnificent! The food was excellent, I had Elk prepared to perfection! Beautiful views, especially with the fire pits going at night. Highly recommend!

Have rented a home in Moonlight several times! The views are amazing and ski in access is so convenient. Beautiful, well appointed home ! 7 Shadow Ridge ! So attentive to all needs and issues that arise. From shoveling the decks daily to hot tub checks - service is impeccable. Big Sky Vacation Rentals make all aspects of travel easy!

The lodging is fine, not great. The location is fine, not great. But the employees and manager are the rudest people I’ve ever met. There are better quality places to stay in Big Sky that are closer to the slopes, have more amenities and the staff is helpful and pleasant. Go to those places, don’t stay here.

Beautiful place and I wish I could give it 5 stars. Some of the neighbors are very rude to people staying for a trip. Super entitled kind of people. But the area is absolutely breathtaking.

I have to give the moonlight clubhouse some props. The food was horrible, but it was consistently horrible, so at least they are reliable. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner, rain or shine, If you’re going in there, you’re gonna get some low quality food. Luckily, the portions were small, so you don’t have to endure the food for that long. The breakfast, or lack thereof, was a huge letdown in particular. I’m sorry, but a couple bagels and some parfaits doesn’t constitute a meal. Put a little effort into it! Throw some eggs and bacon out there, for the love of God!In addition, I have to say, that after trying multiple items on the menu, the burger was without a doubt the most disappointing. I ordered it, thinking, “there’s no way they can mess up a burger”, but it ended up being the driest, most tasteless burger I’ve ever eaten. However, I must say that the service was excellent.Furthermore, the resort itself was actually very nice, with plenty of amenities, and high class and comfortable lodging. Also, The scenery was absolutely breathtaking, and likely saved this from being a 1. But, looking on the bright side, this resort has a lot of upside because with decent food options, this is easily a 4 or 5 star.

Stayed in a beautiful home in the Moonlight Basin neighborhood this week. The home was very well equipped and skiing at Big Sky was amazing! However we were extremely disappointed to learn that Moonlight Basin would not provide access to any of their resources unless we paid an additional $40 per person per day. This includes shuttle services, housekeeping, and guest services. It feels as if we are being punished for not renting through Moonlight’s own rental company.

Big Sky is huge and has a lift and a ski trail for every person and ability. Moonlight Basin used to be a separate ski area, but has been a fully integrated part of Big Sky resort for years now. It is serviced by a high speed six pack chair and a couple smaller lifts. The base are facilities are smaller and simpler than the facilities at the main base village, but Moonlight Basin's parking is closer to the slopes and easier to use than the main parking. The trails on the Moonlight Basin side of Big Sky are a blast to ski.

Always a good time here. Kids loved the lessons. The service is always great. Love that the parking is up top to unload family and not have to shuttle around. Food is great and drinks are always poured with good measure.

Nice runs, some slow lifts though. Public can't use moonlight lodge anymore, just for high noses now. Bummer. Neat place. Had lunch there few years back.Good grooming on trails.

Skier's heaven. We rented a townhouse right next to the lodge, and loved it. Steps from the lift, we were skiing Big Sky just as soon as we finished up breakfast. Everything seemed clean and well cared for.
