DO NOT GO HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!I highly recommend that when these guys give you a quote , that you call around Billings to see what other shops will give you! Needed my alternator to get replaced and they wanted to charge me 1200$ to replace it! Called around and found a highly respected shop that would charge me 500$! HOPE YOU KNOW YOURE PAYING FOR THEIR BRAND NEW MUSTANG MACH-E COURTESY VEHICLE AND NOT ACTUAL WORK!

On two different occasions, I went to Billings to purchase a used vehicle. Both times Christan Brother's Auto squeezed in the inspections I needed and were very kind. The vehicle they inspected last year is still running well. They offered me rides as needed, and their waiting room is so clean and comfortable.

Great shop. I've been coming here for 4 years mainly for oil changes but also some minor repairs. I had an instance where one of their new employees damaged my car. They took full ownership and made it right without any hassle. I found out later that employee got let go because he didn't meet their standards. Accidents happen, but it's how they dealt with it that mattered and it showed they stand behind their values.

So I waited for a couple of weeks after my encounter with this establishment to submit my rating. We were looking for a new service facility for our vehicles and thought we would try this company. Unfortunately , I would not recommend this company for your automotive repairs. I had some work done, routine maintenance, differential fluids, an update on an onboard computer and replacement of the radiator system recovery tank. Parts were approximately 260.00, labor was 1,000.00, which I believe was out of line for 5 hours of work. I explained there was a problem with the right front tire and the wear pattern and was concerned there was an issue with a suspension part. I was told there was no problem and that the tire wear was my imagination. After leaving, I realized the issue with the right front suspension problem still existed, so off to Tire Rama where they promptly found the problem and replaced the suspension part. Parts and labor were approximately 450.00. I felt like Christian Brothers took advantage of the situation and I was in an untenable situation as they had my vehicle as leverage. Thoroughly disappointed and caution anyone looking for a repair service for their vehicle to stay away from this company.Services: General repairs & maintenance

First, the good.I have been bringing my truck to Christian Bros since right after they opened and in the past have had good experiences. Last year Christian Bros did over $5k of work on my truck, including replacing the timing chains. Fast forward to August 2023 when my truck broke down. No power whatsoever. I paid $100 to have it towed to Christian Bros and was told they would diagnose it in a couple of days and come back with an estimate for repairs. So far, so good, right? Now, the bad.Two days go by, then 3, 4, 5.....etc. After a week without any call, I dropped by to talk to them. By this time I have spent over $700 on rental car fees. I am told the timing chain broke but not to worry because it is under warranty. "Oh, good" I'm thinking. I dodged a big bullet. When will it be fixed I ask? "Should be next week" is the response. I reminded them how much I have spent on a rental car and the fact that the diagnosis is several days past when I supposed to hear back and asked them to please make it a priority. "Should be ready middle of next week". Ok. Middle of next week, nothing. So, I stop by on that Friday. "Well, here's the problem, when the timing chain broke it bent the valves so they will need replacing too, but this SHOULD be covered by the warranty". Uh, what do you mean SHOULD? The timing chain, which is under warranty, failed and in doing so also directly destroyed the valves so......the valves by definition are covered too. "Well.....we need to check with the parts manufacturer to confirm, but it should be ready by middle of next week. In fact there is only one truck ahead of you so you are definitely our top priority. Middle of next week goes by, no word. So, I stop by their shop on that Friday AGAIN. As I pull in, I see that my truck is parked in the same spot it has been in for the past three weeks. I go in and ask politely what is going on with my truck? Well, we are waiting to hear back from the parts manufacturer on their warranty. Up to this point I have been nothing but courteous but at that moment all that was put the window. "OK, let me explain something to you guys. My warranty is not with the parts manufacturer. Christian Bros supplied the parts and the labor and issued the warranty. I don't care what your parts supplier does or does not warranty!" I asked to speak with the manager who I was told was out to lunch so I left. Two hours I call back and spoke with the manager and he basically said the same thing at which point I told him that I was extremely confident that I was on good legal footing that they were legally obligated to honor the warranty no matter what. "Do I need to get my attorney involved" "WHOA, WHOA, once you say the word attorney I can't talk to you anymore." Where is the owner I ask? He is out til next week. Ok, I'll talk to him next week.Fast forward, I go in Monday and talk to the owner and he told that it actually was not the parts supplier warranty that it was the problem. Instead, the local Christian Bros shop is a franchise and the parent company routinely denies almost all warranty claims. I was blown away. How in the world could they deny or even delay a claim like this that was so obvious? He had no answer. He told me that he had not been aware of the complete situation that had unfolded over the previous four weeks but that he would personally ensure that the work got started.Long and short, it was finally repaired and ready ten days later for a total of 43 days in their shop, which cost me over $1100 in rental car charges and another $100 in towing fees. Fortunately I was able to secure other transportation but if I had to rent a car that entire time it would have run me over $3k. What I went through was completely unreasonable. I am not making a recommendation for or against using Christian Bros, and I do appreciate the owner personally getting involved to get this situation resolved but it should never have gotten to t

Zero stars would be a better rating. Took my 2019 car in for a bad VVT solenoid. They "diagnose" it themselves and claim it needs an additional $5,000 worth of work. Reluctantly, I say yes. Two weeks later they do the work, call and claim they now have metal shavings in the oil and the car needs a whole new engine, $15,000+. I told them no way. When I go to pick it up, they try to charge me $150 for their "diagnostic work" they performed. Either incompetent or criminal. Either way, do not trust them with your vehicle!!!

My husband and I had trouble with our truck’s fuel system while traveling through Billings on vacation. The staff at Christian Brothers Automotive were fantastic! They got our vehicle repaired quickly, squeezing us in when their schedules were very full. The repair was well done and fairly priced. They employees even took time to give my husband travel recommendations for site seeing in the area. They treated us like we were old friends or family—I cannot recommend them enough!Services: Auto exhaust system repair

I had a small oil leak, they said it could be the oil plug, worse case the oil pan. Turned out it was the plug, only charged me for an oil change, even did a full inspection, I was completely satisfied with the work and honesty and will be a return customer. Highly recommend this place.

They do good work but I am unimpressed by their "level 3" inspection of the vehicle. I guess level 4 might include checking air filters. no wonder my truck ran rough. Good work bad overpriced inspections.

Wow! The service was great! Most places I've gone to I've either felt like I was being forced into getting something or doing something to my vehicle. They sent me a digital report of what was wrong with my car and an estimate. I didn't feel any pressure, and I really felt like I was being treated with respect and care. I reallllllllly appreciate service like this. Thank you so much for being kind and honest.

Good service, they kept me informed of any and all repairs the only problem I had was a misunderstanding on the total price but it was my fault not theirs.again good service and quick repairs with an excellent warranty. Just wish it wasn't as expensive as it was.

I've been bringing in my parents vehicles since this place opened. I feel like in the past few months that the customer service has gone downhill. Even the manager Jared was disinterested, unpleasant & short with my concerns. There is a lot more I would like to write but will keep it short. We will not be back!Service: General repairs & maintenance
