“Pleasant experience establishing care for a healthy 3 yo corgi and healthy 3 yo tuxedo cat. We learned for the first time of a vaccine for lepto. Apparently this disease can be passed to humans. Pets are more likely to contract it if they hike or roam in open lands . Our past vet never mentioned it. We were pleased to hear about it”

“I can’t be more happy with Lockwood Vet, me and my family have been going for around 18 yrs. My grandma even travels from WY to come to them. We have also received amazing care for our animals and they also treated us people amazingly. Between bringing dog, cats, chicken, etc. they always care like they are their own animals. They also make sure to stay with what we can afford and give you great recommendations for treatment plans, going into depth of what the meds will help with and not help with. They know my animals by name every time I come in and what their past medical history’s usually is.
One story that I can always vouch for is we had to be our 120lb GSD down since he could no longer walk. He was a very loved dog and was probably one of the hardest things me and my family had to do. He had a long story of why he was so important to us. We had probably 8 people with us, so we couldn’t all fit in the room they provide, so we they were happy to did it in the lobby so we could all fit. We were never interrupted while saying our goodbyes, and at the end when we were ready to leave after around probably 20mins. We all got offered to get paw prints made, his ashes, and some fur.
I will always remember the way we were treated that day while saying our goodbyes, it was the hardest yet most peaceful.
I will always recommend Lockwood vet to anyone between their kind hearts, love for animals, and of course their prices.”

“This review is for Dr. Alex and his staff. I have to say I was a bit reserved when Dr. Alex arrived, after all Dr. Doug left pretty big shoes to fill. But I’m more than satisfied with the service and care my pets have received. The vet techs are great not to mention the front desk!”
“Such a great place! We recently boarded our anxious dog for two weeks and he was so happy! We got regular updates and he got lots of attention and play time. I love that we could bring his own bed and toys. Our dog was happy and healthy when we picked him up. And the staff followed up a few days later to make sure he was doing ok. Highly recommend them as a vet and a place to board your pet.”
“My husband and I moved to Billings 7 years ago from Shelby and one of the first things we did was find a vet. We were spoiled having a small town vet and that’s what it feels like having Dr. Berst. We took our cat in to be euthanized this morning and he was so good at explaining everything and making it more comfortable for us. He is so compassionate and you can tell he loves animals. I’m so thankful we made the right choice in choosing him!”

“You want the best care for your pet then this is the vet for you, we just wish it didn’t take us four years to figure it out. We had all our questions answered and we didn’t feel like we were being rushed, our pet seemed very relaxed and she was cared for like they were her parents. This was the first time after shots she didn’t get sick.”
“This place is incredible. I came here originally to establish care for my furry best friend and get a rabies vaccine. The entire staff was incredibly kind, and the doctor didn't try to sell me on a bunch of additional treatments. I left paying an incredibly small amount for a rabies vaccine and a full exam. Fast forward a year and a my doggie had a dental emergency. I knew I didn't want to go anywhere else, so I waited for the morning and they got me in same day. I saw a different doctor who was equally amazing. We knew we needed to get his tooth out asap (very infected and swollen) so he was able to rearrange the schedule and get him in first thing the next morning. We ended up doing a full cleaning while he was out, and I told him to do x rays and other services to his discretion. He ended up not needing to, and was able to keep my bill to a minimum. I was SHOCKED that with all the services we received I was able to keep the bill under $1,000. (Eval, difficult extraction, anesthesia, cleaning, rabies booster, additional meds during procedure, etc.) It's a great feeling to know that your pet is in the hands of someone who is truly just trying to do what is best for them and not to inflate the bill. They dealt with my anxiety with ease and even my dog didn't seem to be on edge. 100% recommend taking your pet to this place.”

“Wonderful service and people! My cat broke his femur a couple of years ago. They were incredibly compassionate and did an excellent job of fixing his leg! The staff has always been informative, patient, and good-humored with any concern or problems my cat has had over the years. They always do their best to save you money and are very upfront about costs. My cat is healthy, thriving, and loves everyone at the vet because of the spectacular service they have given us. I definitely recommend them!”

“Highly recommend Moore Lane. I was traveling through Billings after a hunt in Eastern Montana. My bird dog hurt her eye and Dr Powell fixed her up in the middle of the night. “We had a really sick cat. Her breathing was labored. Dr. Patty thought she had feline asthma and gave her a steroid shot and an antibiotic shot. She made the right diagnosis. Our little girl is back to normal. We know there may be follow up but appreciate the time, consideration, and passion she showed. Dr. Patty’s fee were reasonable for todays market which shows her compassion. Future needs will bring us back. We all thought it was the end for our pet.”

“I'm writing this review surprisingly late, but deserved. In the middle of the polar vortex of 2014 I was traveling across the country with my rabbit, and she was going through a bit of stasis. I stopped in a few places along the way, but by the time I got to Billings, she was a little dehydrated, and needed a lactated ringer and some bloodwork. Dr. Kuehn was a real pro, empathetic, and didn't break the bank. I'm so glad I found this clinic that could handle small mammal exotics in the middle of Montana.”
