About Victoria Wetsch Studio of Fine Arts
From my Montana studio, I work with Encaustic, an ancient Greek and Egyptian oil-based medium formulated with beeswax and natural fossilized resin. I create suspended images using textures and pigments fused into many translucent layers preserving a stratum of visual depth with lustrous and sculptural appeal. Over the course of my career, I've traveled across many states to exhibit, compete, teach and demonstrate my artistic techniques. My works of art have been juried into national and international competitions which include the Artist's Magazine International Competition. My works have been awarded and exhibited at galleries throughout the western regions, including several national museums.
