We rented 4 pods over the beginning of June til June 9- which was move out day for us. Every step of the way- Sydney & her staff answered our questions and went above & beyond to help us.
Then we needed a 5th pod, which they brought promptly! The day we needed the 5th pod and the following day, when pods needed to be moved off our property and into the Uhaul storage facility (on Huffine in Bozeman, MT) the truck to pull the flatbed trailer that would haul the pods away had some type of mechanical issue so Sydney had to do a ton of creative problem solving to help us get the pods off our property that we had sold so the new owner had room to move in. Suffice it to say- she and her staff moved mountains to get it all done in a timely fashion!! If there were employees as hard working, professional and helpful as Sydney & staff in every business, you would see smiling customers 24/7. Give them all a much deserved raise!!! We are grateful from the bottom of our hearts!!

Severely disappointed in the shadiness in which this location is works. Had to take hours out of our day the day before leaving to drive to pick up from a location over 50 miles away despite trucks being in the lots around Bozeman. We booked and put a deposit down over a month ago for this. The customer service is minimal and blames “policy”

Nothing but the worst experiences with UHaul in Bozeman.
March 2025, pt 1: We picked up a truck with not enough gas to barely get down the road to the nearest station. Because we were moving to another city, we had to completely guess how much gas to need resulting in a gross overpayment in gas since there is no way to measure how much gas you actually need.
March 2025, pt 2 The night before our second move (from one city to another, having to make a second trip) we were told to go to another location 20 minutes away. This added 40 total minutes to our morning, not including the extra mileage on the truck. We were supposed to get self-checkout instructions so we could start our move at 8:00 am. However, we did not receive them. So we drove to the further location and had to wait an hour for the store to even open. It was a waste of gas, time, and money and delayed our move.
2022: We went to pick up our truck a few minutes before our scheduled time. We got there, only to learn that only one large truck was available in the city of Bozeman, even though we had already PAID to reserve a truck. This resulted in a race across town with the people in line behind us, who had also paid in advance. The clerk told us that whoever got there first got the truck and the other person was SOL. So I guess the other customers didn't get a truck that they paid for that day...
I wish there was any other moving company in Bozeman. We've been screwed over too many times.

I recently had the pleasure of using the U-Haul location in Bozeman off 7th, and I couldn't be more satisfied with the experience. From start to finish, everything was handled with the utmost professionalism and care, making my moving process a breeze.
First and foremost, the staff at this U-Haul location are fantastic. Upon arrival, I was greeted warmly and immediately felt at ease. The team was incredibly knowledgeable and helpful, answering all my questions and providing detailed information about the rental options available. They took the time to understand my specific needs and recommended the perfect truck for my move.
A special shoutout goes to the bald manager, who was absolutely amazing. His friendly demeanor and exceptional customer service stood out. He went above and beyond to ensure I had everything I needed, and his expertise was evident in every interaction. He made sure I was comfortable with the rental process and even provided some helpful moving tips. His dedication to customer satisfaction truly made a difference.
The vehicle itself was in excellent condition. It was clean, well-maintained, and ran smoothly throughout my journey. I appreciated the thorough inspection they conducted before handing over the keys, ensuring that everything was in top-notch shape. This attention to detail gave me peace of mind knowing that I was driving a reliable vehicle.
One of the standout aspects of this U-Haul location is the efficiency of their service. The check-in and check-out processes were quick and seamless. I was able to get on the road without any unnecessary delays, which was crucial given my tight schedule. Additionally, the location of this U-Haul is very convenient. Situated off 7th in Bozeman, it's easily accessible and has ample parking space. Returning the truck was just as hassle-free as picking it up, with clear instructions and helpful staff to guide me through the process.
Overall, my experience with the U-Haul location in Bozeman was nothing short of excellent. The combination of friendly, knowledgeable staff, well-maintained vehicles, efficient service, and a wide range of supplies made my move significantly less stressful. I highly recommend this U-Haul location to anyone in need of moving services. They truly go above and beyond to ensure customer satisfaction, and I will definitely be using their services again in the future.

Everytime I’ve been to the Uhaul on 7th, Ive ALWAYS had a good time. Though sometimes I have had issues on my end, they’ve always been patient with me and helped me through them, from little things like warming the truck up for us, to helping us fix bill discrepancies quickly. It is the only uhaul I will ever use if I can.

Yikes, my experience at this U-Haul location was disappointing to say the least. I walked in and wasn’t acknowledged at all—no greeting, no eye contact, nothing.
The manager, Evan, was on a phone call the entire time, completely ignoring me while I stood there for 20 minutes to simply buy boxes. The least he could have done was inform me that he would be on the call for a while.
It wasn’t until another employee finally came in that I was able to get any assistance.
Basic customer service, professionalism, and communication was nonexistent here, and I won’t be returning—nor should you if you’re looking for quality.

Review of Bozeman U-Haul (7th Street) Location
I’ve been a loyal U-Haul customer for nearly a decade, and this is the first time I’ve felt compelled to write a negative review. My recent experience at the Bozeman 7th Street U-Haul location, managed by Evan, was exceptionally disappointing. I’ve always had positive, respectful interactions with U-Haul locations across the state, but this location’s handling of my reservation left me with serious concerns about their practices.
To start, Evan placed an alert on my profile without providing a clear reason, which feels like an unwarranted targeting of me and my organization. Additionally, I was charged for five gallons of fuel on a rental that covered only five miles, as well as a cleaning fee—all added after hours, leaving no opportunity to address these surprise charges before they were applied. This after-hours billing practice raises questions about transparency.
U-Haul has always been my go-to due to the excellent relationships I've developed with other locations. However, Evan’s unprofessional attitude and these unexplained charges have put a serious strain on my confidence in this location. I would strongly encourage anyone considering this location to be aware of these issues and consider reaching out to U-Haul’s customer service for assistance if they encounter similar problems.

Rented my truck out of the Bozeman location, was then told that I actually needed to pick it up in Livingston because the truck size I rented was not available. Made me do a ‘self-pickup’ with the app, which wouldn’t accept any of the photos they asked me to take and kept erroring out. Had to call a support line to get it dispatched. Drove an extra hour round trip, was missing the appliance dolly I rented so had to go to ANOTHER location to get it. They had provided only enough gas to get from the Bozeman location to my destination (they didn’t account for the extra 30ish miles I had to drive from the pickup location) so had to put more gas into it than I should have had to. Unimpressed and am not inclined to rent from Uhaul again.

I had a Hitch installation scheduled. Paid in full prior to service, including $208 installation/labor fees. Day of the installation I got a text from an employee at this location informing me that the installer called in sick.
I contacted Uhaul customer service and they got my installation switched to Butte but I had to go to this location to get the hitch and all the parts with it to take with me to Butte. I only had to pay a separate labor fee. I was informed I would get a refund for my labor charge for the Bozeman location.
I gave it a few days and contacted customer service to see if it has been initiated yet and it wasn't. I was informed that a manager has to initiate it. I called the location and got the managers cell phone number and I sent them a text. 4 days later my text is still not read.
