The incompetence of this location was actually remarkable. First, I ordered two U-boxes to be delivered on a specific day. I paid and got order confirmation, only to find out days later that the Bozeman wasnt able to deliver on that day. Customer service for the company was great but the local store kept changing my times and days without notifying me. I would get a random text notifcation that my shcedule had changed with no contact at all. Aside from all of the scheduling difficulties, the delivery was an utter nightmare. I specified that the front door and driveway should not be blocked, and even attached a photo with where the trailer should be left. The driver managed to block the front door AND the driveway, missing the circled area in the photo I attached by over 40 feet. The family that was moving out was frustrated U-haul made their move more difficult.Continuing to moving day, we went to access our U-boxes only to find out nobody knew where the key was. The Massachusetts store that did the initial drop off claimed the Bozeman location should have it and the Bozeman location claimed that we should (somehow?) have it. I called multiple times on 11/12 and was told multiple times I would be placed on a 5-10 minute hold. In total I spent more than 3 hours on hold and never spoke with anyone. We then went into the store where someone that could abrely be bothered to look up from their phone said he'd be by "sooner than later" to open it. He never came. We had paid movers sitting around and waiting for hours and the guy literally just never showed up. I have no idea how a single location could fail at literally every aspect of the service they are supposed to deliver.See photos for where the box was asked to be delivered and where the driver left it.

It did not blow up before getting to my destination The ride was horrible, 7 miles to the gallon, not 10, 30% more fuel used. The staff at the rental agency was like an absurd comedy. Oh, and did I mention the ride was horrible, the first time ever that I got car sick while driving

We had an excellent t experience at uhaul on 7th in Bozeman yesterday for a local move. It was extremely cold when we picked up but they warmed up the vehicle, scraped the windshield, and were very kind in all regards. Everything was really easy and well organized. Highly recommend this location.

If you need UHaul, I strongly recommend using one of the other locations in Bozeman. The store manager is absolutely awful when it comes to customer service and was caught trying to scam me into paying damage fees for the prior rental. Thankfully I chose to advocate for myself and called the corporate office who found clear evidence the damage was documented prior to my rental and the damage charges were for the previous person. The manager tried to tell me he had photos taken during my rental but refused to provide any information about when the photos were taken or where. If he’d spent two minutes giving that information, it would’ve been pretty clear he was on the phone with the wrong customer and had made a mistake. Thank God the corporate team is much more well trained in customer service than the guy running this store. I’ll never go back.

Their access hours kinda suck. 7pm is too early to cut off access... especially considering most people arent released from their jobs until 5pm-6pm, and start work at 7am-8am which doesn't leave much of any time to access, if need be, before work either.And their storage units are almost double the price.

This U-Haul location is incredibly accommodating and understanding. I scheduled an appointment online for a Wiring Harness installation on my recently purchased, used Audi Q5. I ended up having to cancel this reservation same day due to an emergency and the store manager (Evan - I believe) was completely understanding. I then rescheduled the appointment for a different day with no hassle. To say I was embarrassed when I was informed during the appointment that I ALREADY HAD a wiring harness (obscured by the hitch receiver) would be an understatement. Fortunately, the team at this U-Haul location were so compassionate and truly gave me no reason to be embarrassed. In the end they helped me find the last part I needed to get the towing job done!

Unorganized, don't seem to be consistent with systems, different info from different people. They will tell you no vehicles when they are available and when you have a reservation with confirmation they will cancel but you don't know what of time. Overall a terrible experience here and ultimately we didn't even get a truck despite reserving live with them in store.

Lousy customer service. Before heading out to the trailer I rented, I asked for the furniture blankets and the mattress cover I ordered online. After all was said and done, the guy forgot and I forgot, so I later called for a refund on those items. The guy on the phone agreed to reimburse for the blankets but repeated told me it was my responsibility to check my rental equipment. He also couldn’t find my online order and therefore claimed he couldn’t reimburse me for it. He also couldn’t give me a number to call to request a reimbursement elsewhere…

I made a reservation three weeks ago and when I called to confirm, they let me know there were no trucks available in the area so I'd have to drive over an hour to get one and bring it back. This was the day before my reservation and instead of calling to let me know, they were going to let me show up the next morning to find out. Do not use this place!!

Placed a rental online and just needed to pick up a key, it says to skip the line and grab the key but employee still wanted us to wait in line. Took forever.

There wasn't a lot that i liked. It was a very stressful situation when I was notified one day before my scheduled move, that they didn't in fact have a truck available, after i had reserved the truck several weeks prior. For 2 hours I was left thinking I would have to completely reschedule my move - after already scheduling two sets of movers. The front desk rep in Missoula was very aloof, rude and not at all helpful. I ended up having to drive to St Regis at the last second, a two and half hour drive on a day i was scheduled to work and finish packing. The lady that helped me in St Regis was very nice and helpful but other than that my whole experience was a bit of a nightmare. I then filled the gas upon returning the Uhaul to the exact amount it was when I picked the truck up, and was then subsequently still charged for gas. The whole experience was stressful from start to finish and the people at Uhaul in general, really could care less.
