Took my poor kitten in to get fixed, he was a rescue and abused. The older lady on the phone told me to come in the back to get a carrier for him upon arrival. I went to the back, and there was a lady cleaning out the kennels. I had asked what I should do, because clearly she was busy cleaning the kennels, she told me to go inside and ask. I went inside and this old lady berated me and screamed at me like a toddler having a tantrum. Mind you, my tiny kitten was in my sweater and being held, so he was in no way capable of escaping. I tried to ask her a simple question and she continued to scream at me and repeat herself at least six times “BUT WHAT DID I TELL YOU ON THE PHONE!!!!!” Over and over in my face! I’ve never been so mistreated in all my life. I know what she had said on the phone, but the lady in the back told me to go inside because there were no clean kennels available. She continued to berate me and say they don’t want any kittens running off (which I understand but he wasn’t going anywhere inside my hoodie.) there was no option for me, and she wouldn’t listen. She snatched my kitten so hard from me he cried, as she slammed him into a cardboard kennel, and he continued to cry. (My kitten does not cry in kennels btw) her handling him was borderline abuse and the way she treated me was unacceptable. She then demanded donations multiple times, and if it weren’t for her being so disgusting and disrespectful to me, and my kitten, I had $150 cash, ready to hand to her, because I appreciate how much they do for the people, and animals. After this day, I’ll never bring my animals there again, and would gladly pay for an operation than risk my mental health, and my poor kittens mistreatment. His little behind is torn to bits, I’ve never seen such a sloppy cut before, and they provided no aftercare or cone or anything. She then demanded a donation for the fifth time when I came and got him, and said if I let him lick it, it’s on me and I’m going to have to pay big money for my neglect. I don’t under why she had to be so hostile, mean, and aggressive, but I would never take my animals here. There’s a nice spay clinic in deer lodge and it’s worth the drive. I’m not the first person she’s done this too, as I have mentioned it online, I hear nothing but horror stories about this lady yelling at people. She needs to get a serious grip.

The best and most helpful people around, they give their time, money, and lives to help people and animals in need, most of the time these wonderful humans are talked down to, yelled at, and called rude and it is absolutely unacceptable and disgusting. It’s people like that that are the reason spay neuter is so important. People that choose to breed their already poorly bred animals with no health testing or consideration for what they’re doing. All they think about is “getting a puppy” or “she’s a good dog”. Or worse yet, they do it for profit. If it weren’t for these people, butte would be SO MUCH worse off. Just is the best and she deserves so much more than these awful people.

This non-profit organization provides spay/neutering for cats and dogs for the people of Butte as well as for ferals. They do it by donation meaning, that if you can't afford this expensive and crucial service, it is free. They work extremely hard to keep unwanted and unkept animals from suffering on the streets or in the shelter. They have clinics about once a month. This service is an extremely valuable and wonderful part of our community and the folks that run it should be commended. If you can afford a donation to this crucial service please do so. My cat and dog were both fixed at this clinic and I could not recommend it more!
