During my life, I have visited a lot of US Post Offices - of the 40+ I have mailed things from - the PO in Cascade, MT is the absolute worst!! I think a one star rating is way too generous for this PO. The post mistress (pm) is extremely rude and her attitude makes for an unpleasant customer service experience. The first year we were here we had to provide proof of residence. The pm asked us to bring in a bill from one of our service providers. Every year we have to prove that we actually live here. This year, I brought in a bill from the exact same provider that I did last year and the pm told me they couldn't accept it. My packages have been delivered to the wrong person and I never got them back. On numerous occasions, I have been given someone else's mail and/or packages. Not once has anyone at this PO apologized for giving me someone else's mail or giving my mail to someone else. They always have an excuse of why it happened and it is never their fault!! I went to mail something and the power was out. I was informed that they could not do anything manually because of security reasons. This is pure and unmitigated BS because every other PO that I've been at when the power has been out, have weighed and calculated postage costs manually. For a business that relies on customers - the pm of the Cascade PO really needs to take some customer relations training and learn that you treat all customers with respect and accept responsibility for mistakes!!
