I’ve used this pharmacy for a few years now, I’ve always found the majority of the staff to be friendly, and helpful. Short staffing happens in every industry and I believe there are staff that truly care and go the extra mile, I believe the approach matters from the customer as far as friendliness, I’ve heard and seen how people treat the staff and that’s just in the few minutes I’m in line. I appreciate the service and help I receive from the Safeway pharmacy staff

I think Safeway is a good place to shop at, some of the employees do you have attitudes while working there but I just blowed off and I go talk to the Happy ones. I did have an experience where this one employee did not know how to operate the register properly because I told her that I was going to use my WIC card first then my food stamps and then pay for cash. she said that I didn't have to do that because how I was doing it was wrong. I've been shopping for years and I know how to go around and register this employee didn't know what she was talking about but other than that the store is a great store to shop at.

The tall male pharmacy technician is incredibly impersonal, short & unfriendly. He puts off a very unapproachable vibe. Also, they closed early at 3pm yesterday. I get there at 2:52pm for a med pickup I really needed and they’re already closed despite me calling 20mins prior and informing them I’d be there. They legit closed almost a full 10mins early. Very unprofessional. Always short staffed, but doesn’t hire new people even though there are always people applying. Putting employees that usually work the register in the pharmacy area, causing major line back ups. Other customers in the same line expressed discontent with the same issues. I’ve picked up a prescription on several occasions not needing an ID, then the one time I go in, he asks for an ID and says they can’t hold my spot in line when it took me 30secs to grab my wallet out of the car. So whose fault is it that they haven’t been checking my ID even though it’s their job??Then I had to go to the back of the line and wait another 15mins. Wouldn’t of had to do any of that nonsense if they didn’t close 10mins early yesterday. Kind of a joke. I’d recommend Keystone pharmacy, which I’ll be switching to myself.

Closed at 3 today for literally no reason, my sister called 15 mins before they closed told them she needed to pick her anxiety meds. We get there at 2:52 and they are already closed and I see everyone walking to there cars. Very unprofessional and I'm going to report that to who ever is hire up.

Small Safeway but still good selection of produce, snacks, seafood, and really everything else. Grabbed some grapes and milk, no self-checkout lines but nobody was in line for checkout anyway. Quick grab and go!

Today my check out experience was horrible!!! First you the customer must unload your cart onto the belt (I can live with this) then the aisle is small and you have to push the cart ahead of you to pay but this cannot be started until all is out of your cart so you have to wait for the checker to catch up with you. Once this was done and I did the pay part I started to load my cart back up with the bagged items. I guess I was slow because the clerk kept pushing them toward me. I was going as fast as I could considering my age. There was no one in line behind me and yet the clerk offered no help but was making me feel like I needed to hurry faster and faster. Then the last two bags she gave me had the heaviest items in them so I could not put them on top of the other 7 very full bags I had. Since you seem to think we are the cart loaders and unloaders I think you should take off the total what it would cost to hire a box/bag person to help. Thank you Valley Foods for how you treat your customers and thank you all the other food stores that provide help to their customers. Remember they were NOT busy...no one in front of me or behind me.
