Caution should be advised if you plan on staying at the Circle R Motel in East Glacier Park, MT. We called and made a reservation for one night at $160 and confirmed it with a credit card. When we were checking in and I gave them the credit card so that it could be run, I was told that it would be $193, and I immediately said that I was quoted, and the reservation made at the price of $160.00. I was then told that $160.00 was the CASH price and that the credit card price was $193.00. After being told that we could cancel our reservation or pay the $193.00 I said that I would go to the car for payment and not use the card. When I came back in and got out some AAA issued Traveler Checks I was told that they don’t accept anything but CASH or credit cards. Fortunately, I did have some cash and was able to use that to pay for the night. This was clearly a bait and switch operation to get an additional $33.00 per room. I do realize that businesses pay a service fee to use charge cards in their businesses, but $33 is just theft.

This hotel doesn’t look very promising from the outside and it’s close to road and railway. However it was the only motel left open in Glacier at the start of October! We were there with a group and I suspect some rooms were better than others. And the rear building possibly better than the front one. The rooms are motel style but open to (and have windows onto) an enclosed corridor. The room was quite large and we found it to be cosy and comfortable. The only thing we didn’t like was the very high bar stools and table available as the only sitting options in the room. Some people had a sofa and we were jealous! It doesn’t do breakfast but there is a good diner nearby which does.

It's not a 5 star hotel but we had no issues. Check in process was smooth, parking right in front of our door. Bed was OK. Shower pressure was real good. I would just recommend for the chair by the table to be replaced since cushion was covered in stains. I didn't sit down. Also, more lighting in the room. The two lamps were not enough for me to look through my suitcase and the bathroom could use a couple of hooks please. Om the first morning, there was a small drive through café across the street which had yummy homemade pumpkin spice coffee but the following two mornings they were closed. I guess it's hit or miss with them. Motel is next to a library and around the corner there is an excellent restaurant called The Peak.

We did have an issue upon checking in. I had called to confirm that a late check in would be okay as our flight had been delayed. I was assured over the phone that it would be no issue at all. I told the women I spoke with the time we would be arriving, and again she said that would be no problem at all.Upon arriving the office was closed and no one was answering the phone. We were stranded without a place to sleep for the night. We were able to go to a nearby town and get a last minute room for almost $400….The next day I received a call from a very nice gentleman that apologized and stated that it was a mistake and no one has relayed the message to him that we needed to have a late check in. I told him it problem I understand mistakes happen and that we would be checking in later on that afternoon. When we checked in, there was a women in the office this time and she attempted to charge us for the previous night stating that we were a “no show”. So there was obviously no communication from whomever I spoke with on the phone to rest of the staff that they had mistakenly left us stranded. She did end up not charging us for that night after I explained the situation.I will just say that communication seems to be severely lacking between the owner/employees. We also received no discount or apologies except from the one phone call. The hotel is great, very clean, and in a fantastic location. I was just very disappointed with the service.

Was a place to spend the night, it was a little pricey 190$ for no amenities no vending no breakfast and the 2 stores near by closed early. 9 pmShower was good though. Toilet was a little loose and rocked a bit.Stayed once wouldn't stay again.Rooms: Room was remodeled wasn't to bad but could only get a full size bed was tight compared to a king size bed. Had satellite TV with limited channels. Parking was terrible There was 1 parking spot where we were to stay but was blocked with orange cones then later moved for a car that came later. We had to park around the corner and walk back to the room.

Do not stay here!Circle R Motel just charged me $200 for towels, they said I took from my room. Why would I take towels while I’m traveling? This is ridiculous!! Now, I have to deal with this fraudulent charge on the rest of my trip.Beware and take pictures before and after stay.

First, I have to say I am amazed at the good reviews for this motel. We were on motorcycles and had to get off the road because of strong winds. The Circle R was our only option for lodging in the area. We could not check in until 3pm. No one was in the office or would answer the phone until 3pm. We sat outside on a couple of plastic chairs we found until someone showed up in the office. There was no ice, no WIFI, no breakfast. The room was sufficient but VERY outdated. We paid $230 for a room which we feel is outrageous for the poor amenities. I guess the motel owners can ask this ridiculous price because of the location and time of year.

Our room was spacious and very clean including the bathroom! We had plenty of towels, and if we needed more toilet paper or soap the cleaning staff took care of us. Our bed was very comfortable, we also had a microwave and fridge. We enjoyed our stay at this motel and the small town it’s in.

What a great spot! We loved the location- very close to the park entrance at Two Medicine. The family that runs it was very nice. East Glacier Park is small but there are several good restaurants nearby. Our rooms were large and clean. We will be back!

We recently attended a wedding near Glacier National Park. Beautiful Scenery! We booked our room over the phone 4 months in advance to stay Friday - Sunday. We found that the staff was very friendly. We were delayed getting there as early as we planned due to road construction & with no cell service while traveling - we weren't able to contact them until nearly 7pm to confirm that we are still coming - & I was happy to hear that they were still holding our room! The room was quiet, very clean & included a little kitchenette. It was adorable. The beds were softer than what I am use to, but to my surprise, I slept very well & my old bones didn't even ache like I thought they would. My husband & I enjoyed our stay very much. We would most definitely recommend this little motel.Side Note: You won't have Wifi in your room but if you ask, they are happy to give you the password to connect to the Wifi in the lobby/office. Cell service is sparse but it gives you the opportunity to unplug & enjoy the beautiful mountains!

My trip planning to Glacier started in late spring/early summer and was surprised that nearly all hotels were booked and others were very expensive. I didn't know the demand was greater than the supply of motels. Circle R Motel was available and within my budget, so I took it. Travel is an adventure and one must have an open mind. The motel was affordable and nice,. The AC was cold, the showers were hot, and beds were comfy. The washers/dryers were reasonably priced and convenient. There is no elevator. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful! We didn't spend much time in the room... we went to Glacier to enjoy the outdoor at Two Medicine, St Marys, and Many Glacier, and Road to the Sun. Twio Medicine is a small town, with a little store that has great huckleberry ice cream, and a grill where you can get a bison burger and pie. Yes I would stay here again!

We stayed here after our cabins at East Glacier Motel and Cabins were disgusting. The guy and lady (patch on her eye) who checked us in were so friendly. Really Nice!!! The room was sooooo nice. Two queens, a nice kitchenette area and a clean bathroom. If we ever come back that way we will for sure book it this place.

We learned about this hotel from a local while we were camping at Two Medicine. We needed a place for my parents who couldn't camp. The room was very clean, nothing fancy, but clean. The service was outstanding. William and Chanell were both so kind, helpful and friendly.
