As an Arizona gal, I was a little worried to travel to Montana in the winter, but I stayed at the Cinnamon Lodge this week and it was lovely. There was some snow each day—varying from a “light dusting” to thick and heavy. I chose to stay off the roads for everyone else’s safety and explore the Cinnamon’s grounds instead; I spent most of my time in my cozy, little cabin and on its patio. If you come expecting the Ritz, you’ll be disappointed, but I loved every minute in the “rustic chic” cabin I rented—warm, dry, content.Morgen, the very personable owner (onsite daily, I think) is amazing and her sidekick, Cinder the Black Lab is adorable. They checked on me several times (without being overbearing) to make sure I had everything I needed and took me in a tour of the grounds; Morgen also rambled off a list of fun activities, restaurants and stores in the area. There isn’t a restaurant (or place to purchase food) on the grounds; plan ahead and hit the grocery store in Bozeman or Big Sky.I will be back.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We were easily able to book our cabin online at such a reasonable price! Morgan is a great and friendly host and led us to some fun local events to check out for the evening. We enjoyed sitting next to the fire pit right by the river. Great find!

Awesome place to stay! Staff was responsive and very helpful! We stayed in cabin 11 and had an amazing time! Beautiful scenery outside, cozy on the inside. Place had a large heater and warm water as well as other comforts. Almost felt like staying at a hotel. Great place. Can’t recommend enough.

Perfect launching point for hikes and adventures in Gallatin and Big Sky without a big price tag. It was simple but had all we needed - running water, toilet & shower, decent mattresses, microwave and mini fridge,, and walls to keep the those pesky Montana flies and mosquitos away.

Perfect base camp for a week of trout fishing. The ladies probably would have complained, but they weren't there, and my son and I thought it was terrific. We stayed in one of the small cabins at a bargain rate, and it suited us fine. No coffee maker, but there was a small microwave. Bring some instant coffee to avoid a morning trip up the road to a gas station. We'll be back. In fact, my son and seven of his buddies are driving there from Michigan at this very moment. Not sure of the status of the restaurant; it was closed in July 2020, Covid maybe?

Four years after my first visit to Cinnamon lodge, I can confidently say it will not be my last trip.My family has come to the gallatin river area since before I was born, I learned to ski here, and this place has my heart.28+ years later I can still say that Montana is home. The last time our family made it out to the mountains, our (local) family friends insisted on treating us to dinner a local place they loved. They told us they were taking us to “Cinnamon’s”Side note: I LOVE how they referred to the Cinnamon Lodge in such a familiar way!!The dinner we were treated to at ‘Cinnamon’s’ was SO damn good that my family and I (again 28+ year veterans of the Gallatin River area) have unanimously decided that every time we leave the Twin Cities on our way to Big Sky, we will make a pit stop at the Cinnamon Lodge.Their menu is worth a visit on its own; that said you might even remember that you came for the view.
