Amazing food by Chef Tony Anderson, loved the wagyu prime. The views from the deck are peaceful especially with the sounds of the Gallatin river flowing behind the lodge.

Only stopped in for drinks so I didn't experience the rooms, but the service here is amazing and the place is beautiful!

Five Stars isn't enough! Rainbow Ranch did not disappoint. My husband and I stayed for a portion of our cross county honeymoon. Everything we read/saw online did not do this place justice. From the moment we pulled into the driveway everything was magical. The location was fairly simple to get to from Bozeman. The views were incredible, we even met a few locals that were happy to show us around the trails. The cabin feel with hotel amenities was exactly what we were looking for. I could rant and rave about the location/lodge itself but really it was the staff that has us planning another trip to Rainbow Ranch Lodge summer 2024. I didn't catch all of the front desk staff names, but they were all oh so helpful: from answering our questions, helping us plan activities to starting our cabin fire any hour.We had dinner prepared by the head Chef, Tony. The food was perfectly prepared and portions unfortunately did not leave room for dessert (I will have to plan ahead next time HA). Our server was Francisco. He was very attentive and respectful to our wants/needs. Helped guide us through the menu without making us feel rushed. It was a very intimate but laid back setting at the same time. We chose to seat outside and he offered us an outdoor heating lamp which we polite declined, to enjoy the Big Sky as it was intended. =)After dinner we retired to the bar where Christian continued to take excellent care of us. He made us feel like we were friends/family visiting, not paying guests. You can build a cabin/lodge anywhere. The staff is truly what makes this place one of a kind. I do hope when my husband and I return we are met with the friendly faces we met this summer.

We had an amazing view from our balcony. The decore was cute, and they even had tiny bottles in our fridge. The only slight downside was that underneath the beds was not cleaned. There were wrappers and lint that were prominent in sight. Other than that, thank you for the AMAZING breakfast, and service is very welcoming. Would come again.Safety: This hotel felt very safe with being able to lock both front and back doors. Alongside any windows you have within your stay.Walkability: It would be hard to get into the breakfast area if handicapped ♿️. Other than that the rest of the locations are ramped.

This Ranch is amazing! The staff was friendly, Steve made us some great cocktails (little pricey, $16/cocktails and $8 beer can ) and the food was great too. The room were spacious, confortable and clean. You are right next to the river and near a beautiful hiking trail.

Very Dirty, bathrooms moldy, not even a cup for water, no microwave as advertised, no staff, in need of a huge remodel. Website a total misrepresentation . Sits rights on the road with traffic noise all night. So overpriced for experience- go elsewhere.

The Good - the food. Overall the culinary team did a great job. The Bad - the staff did not have the tools or the training to Provide great service. Shower leaked and flooded the bathroom with each use. Room sat on the interstate. There is no AC or fans but leaving the window open for some air resulted in no sleep with trucks and cars driving by. Request went unanswered and overlooked. Problems are not fixed. The Ugly - we never once interacted with any member of the team other than the Front Desk Attendant. Management never made an attempt to assist, greet or help us and it is a very small hotel. Maybe a great location for a buyout wedding but not for a transient/tourist guest.

We went in not knowing anything about the place since we have no cell coverage nearby. The food is pricey. It was good, not super good, but pricey. The candied foi gras was good (not the included toast with it) but itself was very good. The steak frites was good, not amazing, but good. Probably wouldn't ever crave or come back for either.I think the absolute biggest disappointment was the service for the price- no refills on waters, she brought a lemon out with her fingers for a drink, and I think there were only 2 servers for the place?Idk.. not a great experience and I wouldn't go back.If we are paying over $80 for one plate I would at the very least expect our drinks to be refilled (not once) and even the salt and pepper were brought out after the plate was cleaned of food. Can't look at food for 15 minutes waiting on some pepper..There are other places nearby that are much better run. I'd recommend finding one of those.

After a long day of hiking in Yellowstone, we were looking forward to arriving at this lodge. The reviews were great. Unfortunately, we arrived at the wrong time. The lodge was overrun by a large number of staff working on a movie. We were not greeted promptly. Actually, we were told to get out of the way and be quiet. Then, the front desk clerk was unable to check us in. We waited over 45 minutes. Then, we were unable to move our car close to the room. Of course, our luggage is heavy (packed for a week long trip of hiking at Yellowstone). No one apologized for the inconvenience. Nor, were we notified ahead of time. We would have arrived at another time. Working in customer service, this is NOT how things are done. I think what was most disappointing, is that we have planned this trip for a while. Post Covid. It’s been a long 3 years in healthcare.

Their hostess was kind enough to seat me right by a big window with a majestic and magical view of the light snowfall and mountain-range backdrop past their spacious outdoor seating area. It made me remember holiday scenes of past and future hoped for. I likened it to being in a big snow globe.Coming back by chance during the start of the off-season in this valley, as I had the good fortune to the last time, rewarded me with the whole place to myself during the start of my browsing and service. Only the really nice, smooth, relaxing, catchy, jazzy music, largely instrumentals, was what I heard. The bread was fresh, warm, soft, served on an artistic black stone-like rectangular dish, and well-paired.Their beverages menu is off the charts. Since I was driving myself, I asked for a mocktail, and trusted the waitress to select its base, which was delicious. When I return, I just may persuade my friends to order a bottle of their best; Château Lafite Rothschild, Pauillac, Bordeaux, France, for ~$2,600 (a bargain, considering bottles from this vineyard have auctioned for hundreds of thousands, even at $1M in one case, often setting world records). The Crab Imperial Toast was beautifully stacked on a unique triangular plate, and had just the right combination of flavors and colors. The Burrata was another wonderful starter, based on a salad that worked well with the beverages to keep cleansing the palette for every next bite.My main was their Ratatouille Risotto, and it was just as delicious, filling, and colorful as I remember it being back in ~2018. I was quite agreeably stuffed by the time I'd nearly finished it, and I'd tried my best; I wanted to compliment the chef. If only I'd saved room for one of their desserts! Still, I'm very glad I ended up taking some home.As I was concluding this, my second afternoon here, another surprise treat came; the chef happened out of the kitchen and I got to meet and shake hands with the talented gentleman. I hadn't even asked yet, and already was getting what I'd wanted; the best of all chances to give my compliments directly. It is so much nicer to be able to in person instead of by letter or relay. While Google Maps lists this establishment as being a little on the spendy side, it is well worth it, the portions are just as generous as one might ever seek, and I encourage everyone to come. Save up if you must, and really treat yourself here. You will walk away smiling.I definitely plan to return and try much more of the menu, particularly their salads. Having returned to this part of the country to start the family of my dreams, I shall certainly bring them all when they are of ages enough to really appreciate the place, falling for it like I am. We'll reserve their Bacchus room and make an event of it.A few years ago, I'd been making my way to a faraway land, no plans of ever returning, but it seems I was destined to, and places such as Wild Caddis certainly show me why. Is this second time around to refresh and add further goodness to those before? Perhaps to give me that chance I'd so longed for to become able to stay and set roots here? These are the kind of thoughts I suspect many of you will have when trusting this lodge and restaurant with your days and meals; of sure signs you are in the best of places, on the right path, with a potentially perfect future, and that you have found real gems to treat your loved ones to, special places were the people do amazing work, really care, and connect with you. When I find 'the one', if she cooks as well as they do here, I shall have to redouble my fitness efforts and do my utmost not to become an addict and rather portly. If ever anywhere here in gorgeous Montana deserves Michelin stars, it is this one. I am so glad they have remained. Their standard is unmatched, from what I've witnessed so far, and I have every confidence it always shall be. I wish them all the best, and hope to see them again and often. If I continue discovering restaurants like Wild Caddis, I'll b

My review is a bit past due but had to get it in. I stayed at the lodge on 02/05/23 for two nights. It was a solo trip. I had put a lot of time and research picking this lodge. There are many options for places to stay in the area but I chose this one and was so grateful that I did. When I think back about the stay, and I forget a lot these days, I remember the people that work there. The room was great(loved my fireplace), the location was great, but it was the staff, each and every one of them that I remember most. I was looking for a place to escape after the loss of my Dad who had passed away the month before. The kindness and attentiveness of the staff couldn't have been any more spot on. They offered support, an ear to listen. Unfortunately, I did not get to experience dinner there but only because I was looking to go somewhere I could socialize a bit more. This property is awesome, cozy, personable and much more. If you are looking for a place to stay with genuine people on the staff, look no further.I loved my room, the fireplace in it.Rooms: Nice big room with an awesome fireplace. For me a fireplace is #1 on my amenity list.Nearby activities: All the basic winter activities you could imagine were close by. However, I have to say traveling solo was not in my favor. The places I called for activities like dog sledding would not accommodate me and the snowmobile place told me they would have to charge me for the price of two. Not cool.Food & drinks: Breakfast bar was included. Was very nice. I do not eat eggs. They offered to make me something else to accommodate me.

Overall would recommend but it’s very pricey for what you get. There’s one small bed (a full) and a pull out couch. They really could fit a bigger, nicer bed and still have the pull out. I wish there was a mat for wet boots, we were tracking slush everywhere. The floors seemed heated which is amazing but at one point there was a significant leak around the fireplace and the floor was soaked (they did say the would address this but not sure the outcome). The temperature was also difficult to control and at times is was much too warm. The driveway is dirt but I wish they would still throw some sand or salt down because it became one big sheet of ice and it was difficult to pull out of the parking. The complimentary breakfast is A+++ and all of the breakfast staff were absolutely wonderful as was the front desk. Very helpful and friendly. The bar was also nice with a great local selection. We did not have a chance to eat dinner at the restaurant.

First visit since 2004.. Loved it then, love it now. Rooms are cozy, have a fireplace and jacuzzi tub in my room. Lovely snow covered trees and deck when I woke up. The restaurant has a great selection of dining options.

3/5 is reasonable. The bad first:First off our room would not get over 62 degrees. Staff brought us a second space heater with that we were able to get to 65.Bed was god awful. Tossed and turned every night. Definitely needs to be upgraded. There is no cell phone reception on site. (May be a good or bad thing in your eyes)The good:Breakfast was fantastic. Compliments to the chef for killing it.Staff was helpful and very kind throughout our stay.Hot tub was very nice and relaxing. Had an awesome view out the back.Dinner was very good but expensive. Every entree on the menu was $60+
