You ask for a test drive, explain over and over and over again youre not buying a car today. You explain and unreasonably have to justify yourself over and over again. And explain over and over and over again that maybe in a few months you'll be in the market to buy a new car. You explain what youre looking for, and after youre told youre wrong, you go onto Fords website, and carmax's website and find the model youre looking for. Still youre wrong...it only exists in Australia, and theres only one, ignoring what facts say otherwise. Suddenly they try to get you to sign a purchase agreement without explanation. They put a piece of paper down, sign it, give you a pen and tell you to sign it. Only after several questions do you find out its a purchase agreement. When you refuse to sign it, suddenly theyre shocked and confused. Suddenly out comes the manager and you have to justify why, you, an adult, has decided not to buy a car today. Suddenly everyone needs an explanation. Suddenly youre the bad guy for not buying a car today you cant afford right now. Suddenly you have to explain yourself over and over again and justify yourself over and over again. Even after all that youre still wrong about everything you just said (including your occupation and your income) because the manager spent 22 years in the air force and that makes him right about everything. If theyre going to use their time in air force to try to order and push around a civilian, It makes you wonder how many times he has used his rank to order airmen to buy a car they dont want and cant afford.
I will also add, the morning after i posted this i received a call from a different manager apologizing and asking me to take this post down.
