I had been looking all over town for a left handed rifle for my daughter. Was told it would be several months to never before any big box store could get one in. I resorted to using GunBroker to order a rifle. I chose Mitchel Shooting Supply as the receiving FFL. I went in earlier in the week to accomplish the paperwork and then later in the week went back in to pick the gun up. Both times I was helped quickly, staff was knowledgeable and offered more info on different options. The 3 staff members I interacted with were professional and relevant on aspects of the shooting world. I also enjoyed conversations with the owner and staff on relevant world events, it’s great seeing a small business being successful and striving to do their best to serve their community. I will definitely be visiting regularly and giving them my business from here on out.

Mitchell Supply is a great store for most anything firearms related. They have new and used firearms. If you have a question they will do there best to answer it. There can often be great buys on used guns that come through the store. The new gun selection in the store may not be the largest but they have a website that is very easy to use to order online.

I've been doing business with Mitchell's for five years now. I've bought several guns, used them as an FFL many times, and bought lots of ammo.I just brought a gun in today for some work and they were done before I could drive home. This is the best gun store in Montana hands down.

Best gun shop in Montana and my favorite small business. I've used them as an FFL several times since I moved to Montana and they are always such good people to do business with.When everyone else was out of ammo or taking advantage of the situation and charging ridiculous prices after 2020, Jim went out of his way to keep the shelves stocked with fairly priced rounds. That's something I will not forget.I'd give Mitchell's 10 stars if I could but alas, Google is run by anti-freedom communists.

Stopped here to have my guns shipped up to Alaska while I travel up there in my RV. Dan greeted me as soon as I stepped through the door and got right to work getting things set up for the shipment. Also helped me pick up a pocket knife. Extremely friendly and helpful service! Highly recommend this shop.

They take care of you, but they swear like sailors. Distasteful and hope they can refrain a bit next time. They have lots to choose from, great prices, and other the guy that swears a lot are really nice.
