Cardinal Properties has been managing our property for 10 years. They are great about communicating all details of our rental home and have always kept the home rented. We appreciate their hard work as we live out of state and can't be there to manage it ourselves. Highly recommend.

They refuse to give deposits back. They make up stories to Why they are keeping deposits. They are charging me for cleaning because after I moved out they did some updates and had cleaning done after the remodel. Best to avoid the rental on Central Ave. in Hamilton, it has a lot of problems with the units.Cardinal properties don't understand what wear and tear means to a rental unit. They make tenants pay for wear and tear of the rental unit. The unit that I moved out of after 13 years looked good for how old the unit is. It's a old building with lots of problems.I am glad I am no longer renting from Cardinal properties. I am glad that my doctors told me I had to move because of my health conditions. My health conditions are even improving some from moving.Update from their response:The furnace is old and the fan makes the pilot light go out so I would have to keep lighting the pilot light or keep the fan off.The toilet problem is because of the vent problem and because of the well system. If the well is running (other units using water) then it doesn't flush right. It's a logical problem but they don't understand how it works.Yes I am enjoying my new apartment in a new apartment building. Remember my move was because of my health issues not because I wanted to move. My doctors requested that I move to Missoula.I have had several landlords and Cardinal properties is the worse.They don't complete work orders. My furnace didn't work most of the winter. Toilet didn't flush very good (took 5 flushes to flush toilet paper.) Well pump under the bedroom so kept me up most of the night. No insulation between walls so could hear neighbors.Finally after 13 years of living there I had enough so I moved to a very nice apartment not a cardinal property place either. I will not recommend cardinal properties. Not worth the money to rent from them.

Ever since highland property mgmt sold and went to cardinal properties there are people growing drugs and excessive loud music and partying all night. Done my best to voice my concern but still goes on. Have had to stay at my sons house due to annoying loud music and drug use. Dont feel safe here but where do people go in the valley. Kinda stuck!

I would like to take the time to say you're horrible to deal with and that I'll now be relocating to Idaho since you took my money and never bothered to call or email or message me that I had or had not gotten the apartments I had been applying for. I particularly loved it most how since your website didn't work at all so all my attempts at registration were filled with frustration, and wasted time, now my employer who needed me so badly will be lucky to keep their doors open since after two years of having worked there I have become irreplaceable and to even find a single person to remain there seems impossible. Booo!! I should at least be refunded.

I rented from Cardinal from June 2019 to May of 2021. They were a great property management/Landlord. I see alot of negative reviews on here but to there credit, they are just protecting the property owners as they should. They were always fair from a business aspect. If your applying be honest with them. If your not approved, thats on you, because you self inflicted yourself. Learn from it and improve yourself. Just say no to "WOKE"

I'm leaving this review because of the phone conversation I just had with Bree, an employee of CPM. She was EXTREMELY rude to me over the phone, talked down to me, raised her voice and attempted to talk over me as I was attempting to gain some insight into how their "scoring" process works. She proceeded to yell at me about a conversation she had prior with my wife, to which I had no knowledge of. If I could leave 0 stars based on their substandard choice of employees, I absolutely would. I have never been treated so poorly in my life.

Edit: Good for property owners. Renters should be cleanly and understanding of the process. This place follows procedures to protect people. Could be faster at responding to maintenance requests. Also they could be better at giving notice for maintenance and that maintenance is actually ordered. Very kind in the office, has definitely improved since change of ownership. Would like to see them offer incentives for residents to maintain their properties and keep them clean.
