If you like old homes and seeing how people lived in the past times, as well as how the rich and well connected lived, then this is a good place to see. We spent nearly 3 hours exploring every available room, saw how the wealthy lived as well as the rooms of their servants and guests were managed in the home.
Very worthwhile.
Note the old wood fired stove and the view of the town and mountains.

I have been to the mansion multiple times. For an event and just to wonder through.
There is a ton of history here, parts of the mansion are pretty cool. But as a whole it is pretty shabby, very dirty, very behind on upkeep. For new vacationers it may be a fun stop, but you may be underwhelmed.
