In the past, I have purchased many materials there and had great service. Yesterday, was taking the weekend to work on the toilet and subfloor in my business. Nearing the end of the project in the later afternoon, we realized we needed one more piece of plywood. I called at 4:45 (They are open until 5) I found out they had the product I needed and told them we would be right there to pick it up, it would be right at five. The man on the phone told me they were closing up early, and about to leave. I asked him if they would stay so we could pick it up. He replied, Nope! I asked if he would take a credit card over the phone, and leave the product outside. He replied, nope! We don’t take credit cards. I then told him I’ve owned a business in the valley for 25 years, and asked if he would leave the product out with an invoice, and I could mail a check same day. He replied…. Nooooope! We don’t do that either. I exhaled and said… Well, thank you for zero customer service. He YELLED in the phone…WE HAVE BEEN HERE SINCE 8 o’clock and promptly hung up on me. I was stunned at the rudeness. I never experienced anything like this with the previous owner. I will never be going back, and I’ve already told several friends of this experience.

My first time buying anything here, I was buying two 16’ fence rails to fix a fence for a senior, after a storm took a branch off of a tree and smashed it. The fence was important for keeping the owner’s pets in the yard. The other place which sold fence rails wanted well over $100 to deliver the same two rails. Don’s delivered them for free, the same day I purchased them. Thank you Don’s for helping me fix the storm damage in a manner affordable to someone on a fixed income!! I appreciate a business that helps out in the community like that- I will be doing much more business here.

I had a great experience here! I had no idea it had changed ownership but the staff was extremely helpful and friendly. I was able to find my way around the store quite easily despite it's size. On a side note: I have a small psychiatric service dog in training and I was so impressed that the staff here were respectful of that by not talking to or otherwise trying to distract him. Impressive considering some other places in town actually have caused me to stop going in due to the fact that the staff not only distracts my dog but actually pets him without even asking. He is a service dog for my assistance and I so appreciate a business who respects that, thank you!

Don's is the oldest home improvement store in the valley. They are always helpful, courteous, and have good prices. I like going here to find what I need for home improvement! Not open Sunday
