Born and raised in Montana. We’ve used family banks most of our adult lives. Moved to Bitterroot Valley in 2006 and we tried the so-called “local banks.” Very disappointed. We found Paul at Ravalli County Credit Union in Florence MT a year ago and I can finally say we are banking with local folks that make local decisions. Definitely staying put with Ravalli County Credit Union.

Fourteen business days to replace a lost debit card. So, three weeks essentially. I had no idea I was using a bank from the Stone Age… pullin my money and changing banks asap. ???

I like this credit union except for...I've had to replace my debit card twice due to fraud charges on my account (over $100) its been over three weeks and the money hasn't been replaced in my account and I haven't received my new card yet.My first debit card I didn't receive in the mail for three months after opening my account. I had to go in and talk to them...turns out they forgot. I don't want to close my account with RFCU, but I'm thinking about due to the amount of fraud. Frustrating ??

I have three credit union accounts at different banks. One at Ravalli County FCU, one at Clearwater FCU and one in another state. Here are the issues I have come across with Ravalli. 1. Limited funds available via debit card. Several thousand in my account but they limited my debit card use to $500/day. I can easily drop that much at Costco and then can't use the debit card again that day. They make you sign a release in case of fraud that they won't be held responsible in order to increase that limit. 2. It takes sometimes several days for bill payments to reach the recipient. I've incurred late charges due to the length of time. Never had this problem with other credit union accounts. One example is my BofA visa. I sent payments from both Ravalli and Clearwater. Clearwater payment was credited to my visa next day. Ravalli took two days. 3. Mobile deposit function doesn't always work. I've been trying for two days to deposit a check for $179 but after taking a picture it puts you back at the beginning. At this point I will do mobile deposit to another bank and transfer funds. If it wasn't such a pain in the you know what to change all my direct debits/deposits, I would close my account. For now I will keep using it in hopes that they improve their services.

I love banking here the ppl are very friendly and helpful. I just wish they were open on Saturday for a few hours..
