I didn't really go here that much, but they recently added self checkout and it's SO nice, it's really fast and the only place in Hamilton that I know of that has it

Small town supermarket that had decent selection for my needs and friendly, helpful staff, to boot.

Always fast and friendly service. Great products and good food in the deli. Just about anything you may need. We love going to this store for the many selections of items and, most importantly, their good deli food. Always seems to be hot and fresh. Many sausage choices, and the wife loves the in-house sushi.

Haven't been here in ages. Friendly service. The "membership" prices on items is a bit misleading. Or maybe annoying is a better word.

Compared to other grocery stores here in Hamilton, Safeway offers a slower pace than other sites like super 1 or Albertsons. The produce is somewhat limited. During my visit, there were few employees, and customers likewise. The store has mostly self checkout, and limited cashiers (1-2). Some of the meats i purchased were much more than super 1. I used to shop there all the time before they reduced the number of cashiers. The differences i noticed that really stuck out: at super 1, and Albertsons; there are employees throughout the store to help customers, as well as stocking shelves, etc. Whilst at Safeway, the few employees were busy helping customers at checkout.Overall: the shopping experience is a bit more frustrating when trying to find smaller items like trail mix, or canned mushrooms, etc until you learn the layout of the store.while i do like the slower pace, i do prefer fresh produce, meats, etc. I find that super 1 usually has more selections both in Hamilton and stevensville than Safeway.

Fun fact they always have diapers when everyone else is sold put Safeway has them at the same price as anywhere in Missoula.
