“My partner and I decided to visit Spokane Bar on a whim while we were visiting Yellowstone, and it was the most unique experience we’ve ever had on vacation. What a blast! The people that run this place are the real gems, ha ha, but seriously, they are awesome. The ladies and the two younger guys were really down to earth.
We sifted through two motherlode bags and scored a clear gem grade blue sapphire around 4.5 carats, along with several 1-2 carat facet grade stones, and another 10 or so carats of smaller colored sapphires, including a couple of pink and lavender ones. We also scored a huge flawless piece of ghost agate, a couple of garnets, hematite, jasper, petrified wood, and a handful of moonstones. We went back the following day and found a 2 carat gem grade green sapphire and another bunch of smaller sapphires. We left the larger blue stone to be cut with a local gem cutter recommended by one of the nice ladies that run the place. Now we are hooked! We are looking forward to hand digging in the pit next time. Highly recommend visiting this place!”

We got into sapphire hunting and brought him some rough stones we found ourselves. With a lot of patience and skill, he turned them into some of the most beautiful jewelry we own.
He never rushed us, answered all our questions, and really cared about what we were trying to do. Seeing something we pulled out of the ground become a piece we can wear every day is pretty special, and Dylan made that happen.
