Rural Montana beware. I had a rep leave a card on my fence at my property (She is from Billings). I called, she sold me on Fiber that was being installed and would be done by September. She also made sure after all this happened not to answer phone calls, but changed her voicemail to contact corporate). I asked is this a done deal, she said yes, construction is done. I literally cancelled my Starlink, signed the papers and an appt for install. Lost money on Starlink. Got a notice that it was postponed until November. I was upset, but waited. Called yesterday, Construction won't be done until May 31st now. Bold lies. And when I contacted Spectrum, not a sorry, or we can do this for you (I have 2 other accounts with them), their Response: You are welcome to cancel anytime. Yes, Spectrum offers good speeds in town, basically one of the only options for packaged deals, but don't believe a word they say. I am not one to write bad reviews, but after finding out they could careless about my business and said it multiple times. Consumer beware.

This location is wonderful. Mae helped with my phone carrier switch to Spectrum, and Nick helped with my internet, they should both be recognized because they were efficient, quick, and so helpful both times ive come in. Thank you! Never going back to another carrier

Go in to set up service and am told I can't because they can't future-date an account. Yet, I was told I could come in before my move-in date to get set up and the equipment. Like, is there a plethora of people coming in to sign up and pay for a service they can't receive!?

I contacted Spectrum over a billing discrepancy. I started service mid September, & didn't realize auto pay was selected. Two weeks later, I had a payment for my bill that went through my account. I didn't have the $40 available in my account at the time but, having overdraft protection through my credit union it was paid. A few days later, Spectrum sent another charge for $25 payment through my account. Then I was charged a NSF fee of $30, the same day my direct deposit check hit my FCU account . I call Spectrum asking what this $25 Charter charge was, since my credit union covered the transaction? I was told they didn't see anything on their end, & everything was successfully paid. Seven days later, another $25 charge. After paying all my bills, there wasn't enough money to cover it. It overdrew my account by .08¢, and another $30 NFS charge from my credit union. I call Spectrum again, and was told they still don't show any outstanding balance on their end. The customer service rep. assured me, I shouldn't receive anymore reoccurring charges through my FCU account. Yesterday, now October 17th I get another $25 charge that says Spectrum this time. So I called again. This guy I got, wouldn't even let me finish my question before he was cutting me off, was very condescending, rude, and was basically calling me a liar. I was also supposed to be having a technician show up yesterday, because my Internet service has been horrible. I can barely watch t.v. on it, let alone do anything else. I ended up cancelling that after this phone convo.
He tells me, if I had a refused auto pay I would be charged $25. Yet this doesn't show up on my end, or their end that I owed anything. I told him how? My FCU said it was covered, & I shouldn't be getting any refused charge from Spectrum. I also stated if that were the case, why does the my spectrum app say it's only a $5 charge effective as of May 14th 2025? Plus nobody contacted me from Spectrum before these charges started. The Representative tells me, it doesn't and that's false ma'am. We just started the $5 auto pay fee 2wks ago, after you started service. I said, what a convenient statement. He also says in a threatening tone, by law we can put the charge through 4 times! I then began reading word for word what the auto pay policy stated on the app. He's talking over me, & basically calling me a liar through this. I said my service as been horrible since getting it, I think I'll just cancel it and go with a different provider. This is causing me too much stress. I have only 2 devices on a 100 Mbps plan. My t.v., & PS5. He tells me 100 Mbps isn't sufficient enough to watch TV, let alone a gaming system. I know my stuff from being in the cable industry years ago, & that is false. He was trying to up sell me, after talking to me like garbage. I admit, I had a couple choice words by the end of the 15 min call, and hung up on him. Thankfully after speaking to my FCU they assured me, if they try to put another $25 charge through it will be rejected, and I will also get one of the $30 NSF charges then reversed.
Nice try crooks. I attached a screenshot of the auto pay policy from the my spectrum app.
There's a reason Spectrum has such a low rating, & this is an example. I do not recommend them for any service. My family members warned me, & I didn't listen.

Being told you have a lifetime price at $84.99 for 600/20 then getting a bill the next month for $110.00 is wild. Do not sign up with spectrum it’s all smoke a mirrors and lies. I highly recommend choosing a different provider.

Tried to change my service address & got signed up for cell service that I specifically said I didn't want multiple times. Went into the store and the individual was polite but just said to wait and it would fall off my bill. Needless to say that was incorrect. Nothing but customer service issues across the company. Can not wait for TDS or MT internet to service my area.

If I could give 0.0001% of a star I would this company will raise your rate an not tell you until you go to pay your bill yea may only be a buck or 2 every couple months but that adds up when we first signed up we were in a “locked in price” 8 years ago been with them since an now later bam 100 bucks flat I’m over the increases for nothing extra I can’t wait to get into another company would not recommend spectrum for your internet needs

Internet started going in and out intermittently yet consistently every 40 minutes at most. Reported the issue and was told it was on my end so I spent over $200 on a nice modem.... technician shows up just to tell me it's still on my end so I go out and I spend money on another good router.... same issue and they still say it's on my end. This is definitely not worth spending money on unless you literally have no other option. Here I sit with lost wages from having to meet with the tech and out hundreds of dollars on equipment that I didn't need to replace, and I still have horrible internet service. I don't have the base package either.

Doing business with them is always a painful experience. Been to a lot of spectrum offices and they all suck. This one especially.

I had a sales representative shop to my house. Tell me that I get a free install and a 30 day free Trial. My install was on July 8, 2025. After two days of having spectrum, they sent me a bill due for 17 days after it was installed. I do not recommend spectrum Internet for future uses. I am very disappointed in their communication communications to one another either the company did not communicate to their Sales representative or the sales representative lied.

Spectrum has been working with me to resolve mistakes. However it was a lie. No one knows what the hell they are doing. Have to wait while a guy comes in and gets help right away while another teller talks forever about his music and I just want to go home and pay my bill while being threatened to shut down my account for being late by two days.
