This place is the best, most friendly and knowledgeable staff of all the outdoor gear spots in town. They dedicated hunting/fishing sections if that’s what you need. But if your aim is top tier service and top grade equipment for your next adventure the base camp has you covered. They will also special order whatever you need from the brands they carry. Keep your money local!

We had a fantastic experience at The Base Camp outdoor store in Helena. We are cycling the Great Divide and needed help with a bunch of different things. Mason who served us went over and above to make sure that we had what we needed to keep us going for the miles ahead. We can’t thank him and the friendly staff at The Base Camp enough. Great place!

This nice store is near Park St in Helena. This store has anything and everything needed for an outdoor adventure of ant kind. Everything to wear from shoes to hats. Every kind of equipment needed from tents to water bottles. The ladies working here were kind and helpful. I looked at the clothes and jewelry and the prices were mid range but they had some very unique items. I bought a Montana shirt here and it is a nice quality shirt. I will visit this store again.

Staff at Base Camp quickly led me to the exact products I needed to safely transport 150 oz of breastmilk. The milk stayed frozen through a 2 hour drive and two flights with a long layover.

Great service, and great selection. The prices here are usually a little higher than you find other places, but they also have gear that's tough to find other places.
