Jackson Montana has a population of 36 people. It's a DOT on the highway between Dillon and Hamilton montana. But it has a beautiful bar and Lodge, rustic but adequate accommodations, and a hot to soak your road weary bones. The dining room is nicely decorated with Wildlife mounts and Western Flair with a large fireplace centered in the middle with comfortable seating nearby. The food is good, the bar is well stocked, you can shoot some pool and there are a couple of local antique/ Gift Stores right down the street you could walk to. The big hole is a special place for us in that it is expansive and quiet. A sequestered feeling of isolation and contemplation. Kids are welcome and oftentimes are either in the pool or eating with their families in the dining area. Friday and Saturday nights can be a little rowdy and more crowded as the alcohol flows but if you visited on a thursday, they're only open Thursday through Sunday except for the lodging, or left before dinner on a weekend it's pretty chill. And even the weekends are fun, just don't expect a quiet time! Lol!

Well there's not really anything around here. The place was nice and rooms were clean and the food was really good. The star here is the hot springs pool.Rooms: The rooms were nice, I had my own cabin with a bathroom next door. Nice clean comfy.Nearby activities: We were here for elk hunting. We saw some and had a great time hiking and chasing them in the mountains.Food & drinks: I had a cheeseburger ? one night. Fresh and hand made very good. I had the special prime rib special on Saturday and it was a great meal.

This is such an awesome place to stop for food and a soak! Friendly staff, the food is excellent, and the water is perfect! We love the openness of the bar/restaurant and pool. Just a great place all around & highly recommend stopping if you're in the area!

We drove from Dillon to Jackson for the hot springs. Reasonably priced. We did not eat or stay in a room. There were changing rooms available. The hot spring pool was as big as an Olympic pool. The pool, when you walked out of the restaurant, looked a bit rough but the water was a perfect temperature. Bring your own towels.

Did not stay the night. But used the hot springs. Was comfortable and not overly packed. Staff was friendly and great to talk to.

Nice and quiet room that was clean and comfortable. The hot spring was nice and felt great. A bit away from everywhere but the views were awesome on the way. Not a 24 hour hotel but the staff was accommodating. The food was good but service was a bit slow.

Out in the middle of nowhere makes this a perfect get away. The cabins are nice and clean. The restaurants atmosphere was nice and the food was good. Service was slow but we didn't mind. And then we had a nice soak in the hot springs. It was very hot..which we loved!

We had only a few options to stay near wisdom for a wedding in July. It was unfortunate that this is the one we got stuck with. NON REFUNDABLE disgusting ? and unfriendly ownership. After calling and leaving several messages with no response we finally were able to get ahold of the owner in the “off season” to make a reservation. We were floored at the price she told us. So we ended up choosing the “cheapest” option which was 2 bunk houses each with one bed and no shower! For $200!We asked if we could put some stuff in our rooms a few hours before the wedding as we wouldn’t be able to get back to the lodge until after 10pm. The front desk worker showed us that one of our rooms hadn’t been rented for a few days so was therefore available. The owner came over and shoo’d the worker away , promptly turned the screen and insisted they couldn’t allow any sort of “early check in “ because of the late checkouts ?! the rooms were tiny and filthy. Dirt and bugs all over. Save yourself the money and sleep in your car ! And it should be called “Luke warm springs “ to be more accurate.

We enjoyed eating dinner with live music, and breakfast at the lodge. We also had a great soak in the hot springs that are attached!

When we got there it was early morning around 915am and he said they closed at 10 so we thought he meant 10pm, WELL, it was 10am and he came out to the pool and told us we had to get out and leave, and still charged us the full price, so we were not real

The only reason I gave this a 4 instead of 5 is that it is not what you might call plush. It's more about and in keeping with the history of the place. If you've never been to a hot spring, it's not what you might expect. It's more like an in ground pool (large but not Olympic size) than an outdoor type of thing just coming out of the ground. But it is amazing. And hot. Probably 102 or 103 the day I went. By my NYS standards, lunch was cheaper and very good, and you have to get used to the slower pace of things, and how super friendly everybody is. (You may question why you live in NY.) There is a bar, but I didn't visit it. $10 bucks for the spring. There's changing rooms. Cubby's with no locks. Probably won't need them. (Yup. Hard to get used to.) Check it out, especially if you're cold!

I've stayed here several times over the last 20 years. It's always a nice spot to stop at if you're traveling through the area. The food is ok, a little spendy at times but when you consider the location you'll understand the cost of just getting food out here. There is a slight problem with general maintenance but not enough to cause you any hardships.
