I have been here three times, each with a different pet. The staff is courteous, professional, and they do their best to diagnose and treat animals. I appreciate their attentiveness, honesty, and kindness. They communicate with my regular vet after the visit. I am grateful there is an after hours emergency hospital to which I can depend upon to receive compassionate and emergency care for my pets.

Our 15 year old fur baby passed away while his vet office was closed on the weekend. FPE was very responsive, compassionate and informative during this tough time. I can only say good things about how they dealt with us and our best friend.

I’ve had to use FPE twice within the last year for two completely different things and both times they were so incredibly sweet and kind to deal with. My family lost our old cat, Ray, last November and needed to start the cremation process, and tonight our old chihuahua, Bambi, was at the end and both times they were so kind and thoughtful. They always gave my family the time we needed to say goodbye and never tried to rush anything. It’s such a hard job to be the ER for pets but I’m so grateful for what I’ve been able to experience while
I’m there.

Special thanks to Dr. Dean and staff at the Flathead Pet Emergency who were ready and prepared for our beloved 2-1/2 yr old Cavapoochon, Lucy, who was transferred from Ponderosa Veterinary Hospital after being diagnosed with dangerously high fever and dehydration on Sep 4th. Lucy received IV fluids and overnight observation. Dr. Dean showed exemplary compassion and concern for her wellbeing and ultimate recovery. A stressful and sleepless night culminated with a happy and comforting call from Dr. Dean the next morning informing us of her much improved health and condition. Daisy (3 yr old Cavapoochon) and Ruby (16-1/2 yr old Puggle) also say thank you!

I am so thankful this ER clinic is present in Kalispell and was willing to see my dog!!
With so many other clinics and doctors too busy to see emergencies that are not their clients, I was worried who would see my pet for a toxin ingestion while we were on the road traveling.
My dog was suddenly blind due to the toxin and the staff and Dr Alrich were very kind despite my internal (and maybe outward showing) panic.

Our cat scratched our dogs eye BALL and it looked so bad. We called and we were given very clear instructions on how to come in and get processed for the screening. The staff was very attentive, informative and caring. We were in and out with a diagnosis and antibiotics in less than 30 minutes. Very grateful!

Our 15 mos old pup was eating grass, drooling, and coughing. Of course it was after vet hours, so we brought her to Flathead Pet Emergency where she was seen immediately. The staff were friendly, professional, and thorough. The vet was confident and reassuring when he described the treatment options for intestinal blockage. Our dog was treated with fluids and meds, x-rayed, and thankfully passed the blockage as intended without the need for surgery. We were given meds and gentle food to help her recover, which she’s done beautifully. We appreciated the kindness and clear information the staff provided and highly recommend their services. Thanks for saving our pup!

We traveled to Montana with our Great Danes from Tennessee one of them got bloat and his stomach twisted .I can not thank this place enough because they saved our Jack .As soon as we arrived at the the place the staff greeted us with open arms and took Jack straight back it required emergency surgery. Tricia was the one that took care of us and she did great the incision looks really good also. We can not thank this staff enough.

I called ahead of time because I was driving from polson and asked if they would be able to see me and they told me they werent busy at all and would see me right away. After arriving, it wasnt busy, there was 1 other pet to be cared for. I waited 2 hours in an emergency situation with my toy poodle and didn't get care. I heard people giggling and and carrying on and I told them I was going to have to go, they told me to give them 15min..I waited another 15 minutes and then decided to leave hopefully my dog is ok while I drive an additional 2-3 hours to a hospital with better care. Lesson learned i should have gone the other direction to missoula where I have always gotten exceptional care and the vets actually express concern for my pet when in need.

Ok. So it's kinda weird to be clicking on the 5 star rating and see the jolly text, "Loved it!" when reviewing the pet emergency hospital that treated our dog after she was hit by a car..... Did I REALLY love it?? LOL No. Who can say they loved almost losing their best friend/family member?
But I DID love and appreciate the speed, professionalism and care they gave our dear girl. Thank you, Flathead Pet Emergency, for being there. Thank you for seeing us at our worst, and for working and looking right through our worst fear/worry/grief to stay focused and give Summer the best care possible.

My dog and I had a very good experience. Caring staff that communicates, this visit we were checked in at 11am. Doc on site was in surgery. I was told “you can leave call back and check the wait time in 2 hours”. Which was a great way to go because. Then we weren’t in a hot car all day. Called in the time frame. Drove back got seen. Dog was taken care of. I recommend this place. He’s healing with extra lovings from the kiddo
