I’m extremely disappointed with the customer service at the Harbor Freight in Kalispell. I recently purchased a large, heavy item that became defective within 24 hours. When I returned it the very next day, I was shocked to learn they still charged an excessive restocking fee—no exceptions made, even though the product failed almost immediately.
To make matters worse, the manager refused to help carry the item to my vehicle because it would require him to step beyond the parking lot. This lack of basic courtesy and unwillingness to assist customers with heavy items is incredibly frustrating, especially when the product is defective and being returned.
I’ve been a loyal Harbor Freight customer for years, but this experience has made me think twice about shopping here again—especially at this location. I hope they reconsider their policies and train their management to prioritize customer care and common sense.
