My son wanted me to sew him new seat covers for his outdoor furniture. He thinks since I inherited a sewing machine, I know how to sew. Fortunately, the staff at Joann's were extremely helpful in providing me all the details and options I would not have known. I was greeted as I walked in and helped when I needed it. The 2 associates at this store made my shopping experience a pleasant one! The company is fortunate to have such informative and helpful customer service oriented people working here. Customer service emails were prompt and polite, but the company's shipper dropped my package off early on a Sunday morning and didn't ring the bell. The package was stolen and the company is not offering solutions. I'm glad I didn't make a much larger purchase. I'll avoid this risk in the future by not shopping here.

*BEWARE ONLINE CUSTOMERS* My order was charged to my credit card but never shipped. They say they have to wait for return before issuing a refund. But you cannot speak to anyone! You have to correspond by email. Several emails and 6 weeks later - no refund. I see other customers with same issue. Shame on you Joann Fabrics.

This store might as well have no employees at all. I placed an order online to pick up in store. Only one item was filled in the order; the other was “cancelled” with no explanation. When I arrived, it took the employee forever to find my order, even though I could see it clearly from where I stood. I then went into the store to find my other item which had been “cancelled” and found it within seconds! Whoever pulled my order must have been too lazy to bend their knees and grab it from the bottom rack.It took me almost twice as long to check out as it did for me to pick up because the employee had to call for a manager when my coupon wouldn’t scan. The manager tried to tell me I couldn’t use a coupon on my item, but when they scanned it again, it worked. “Oh look at that!” they said. No duh. It’s crazy how things work when you do your job. Train your staff. I should not be doing your work for you!

I bought a Singer sewing machine from them. Brought it back 15 min. later because it was the wrong one and they charged me a $25 restocking fee.I always try to buy locally but, online is easier and has more options.Wawak from now on!

Well I finally made it in after trying to come here twice during their posted business hours to find them closed. Huge waste of time. I arrived at 4pm and needed to literally just get some solids and thread for a quilt. Unfortunately because their solid fabrics are in no less than THREE locations in the store, it took me almost an hour to find the colors I needed. I pulled a ticket at the cut counter and was ignored by the staff person there, so I continued browsing until they got on the intercom to let everyone know they were closing in three minutes. By this time there was nobody at all at the cut counter. I just left without buying anything and won't be back. The store closes at 5 daily, not 6.
