Over all they provide good Internet service. I give them a 5 star rating on their customer service, they have always been wonderful. They have provided me with multiple routers over the years, one that accidentally got smashed they gave me a new one no questions asked. I've been a customer for over ten years. Every once in a while the signal goes down but it's somewhat rare. It's a good service at a good price in my honest opinion. I would recommend for anyone in a rural location.

I am more than stoked with their customer service. Had some hiccups in the begging but they came through in the end. I will update if there are any problems in the future.

Very disappointed with this company and their poor customer service. I cancelled service at one home and was in the process of moving my service to a new residence after my closing. Before the electrons could dry on my email they were hammering me for a disconnect fee and demanding I return the modem. I guess they have decided they do not want my new business.

I suffered through 3 years of horrible internet service and horrible customer service. Every time I complained that I was not getting the speeds I was paying for the response was, "it looks good from here." I never received help. I did not have any other options until a few months ago and now I am returning their equipment.

Worst internet as the reviews show. You are so unprofessional it’s laughable. Stay away go to century link you’ll see what a real internet provider is like.

Horrible company. Customer service is non existent. You pay an arm and a leg for horrible Internet that never works. If you file a work order you get an email back saying, it works fine. So done with them, wish I had another option.

Ive been with Mt Sky for years without problems re: Wi fi internet. Now, for many months I have endured internet wifi out of service. Again less than one month after experiencing no internet it's back!! I've entered another "trouble ticket". I know in my situation my Clink land line is in a contract with MT Sky to provide internet. I fail to understand the continual "no internet" service. My router and TV are NOT the problem. Instead of mtsky pointing at Clink as the source, it's incumbent on Mtsky to fix it after all I pay them as my provider! Update: just read your response to my review. To rebutt some of your statements: I did understand your situation with Clink and your suggestion to subscribe soley to your service and you offered to install an antennae on the S. Side if my home (no oversized trees by the way) and no mention of tower obstruction so again not true. At the time i didn't want more holes drilled into my home for an antenna but i may have to do just that. Clink is not out of Florida but Monroe LA. I appreciate efforts to again restore my Internet.

After much consideration, I am filling a formal complaint with the BBB and the Consumer Protection Agency to start with. Then, I will be assisting the Montana Legislative representatives to add to or write protective laws that will prevent businesses like MontanaSky from bullying customers into paying for services not received. I was very patient for over 10 months and allowed them to attempt to fix the problem. At no time during this entire, stressful ordeal, did they provide the agreed upon service. Our TV always buffered during all times of the day, sometimes for several minutes. I started taking videos of the problem because when I would call in the concern, they would say that they show it's working just fine. We will be allowing the courts to access our phone records to show how many time we contacted MontanaSky to inform them that the problem is still not fixed. Then one day when we called in, the in-office person finally admitted he knew about the problem, he would send another technician back out, but didn’t know if they could make it any better, which they were not able to. About their internet, I wanted 30 mbs but they explained in detail they could not because they already had existing customers that would suffer in service .So I agreed and accepted the 20 mbs service. Then when I received my first bill, they were charging me for the 30 mbs upgraded service, so I called in for an update on what I was being charged. This agent told me an entirely different story,, oh yes, he said, we will be able to provide you with the 30 mbs internet service, no problem. Well,, their internet performance was tested several times also, and I have multiple test which rated their performance in the single digits. Not only were they not able to perform at 30, they had trouble even performing in the high teens. Now,, if you call them, the agent will say "we show your performance is just fine, is there anything else I can help you with" ?. So, my last straw was when some employees were honest, and admit they are aware of the unacceptable performance issue, while the management points to a signature on a contract and demands we continue the service, and paying them, or they will charge us a $400.00 fee. Here's where I want the Consumer Protection Agency and the law makers to step in. I want protection laws to be written that put the burden of proof on the provider to show that agreed upon services have actually been provided prior to penalizing the consumer for any reason. Yes, MontanaSky has turned me into a collection agency as I would not pay anything additional when I finally decided, enough is enough, I'm out. When I tried to negotiate with the manager, it did not matter to her that they have never provided an acceptable service. All she kept saying is she had my initials on a contract, and if I didnt continue the service or pay the 400.00, she would turn me into collections,, and she did. This company has lost all sight of the consumer and fairness. I feel I was lied to from the start and they knew they could not provide the agreed upon service. They knew they had a problem from previous customers complaints, verified from their repair technicians and honest employees. So, since they are so insistent on being unfair to me and other customers, I'm committed to taking this as far as I can to protect future consumers, and I'm filing for a substantial refund based on services paid for and not provided, which I believe is already against the law. Any customers who have a similar story, I encourage you to at least contact me. I will be posting updates, as this progresses I will be making every effort to stick to the facts. This is not an emotionally decision, this is all about treating the customer with fairness and honesty. I have agreed to testify in Helena in front of a committee and show my videos and performance tests as examples. These interruptions and pauses, and buffering literally make TV un-watchable. I tried to negotiate with this company first,,,,, they refused,,, so here we go.

About their internet service, they will tell you they are an internet company that also provides TV service. They argued that their internet service is solid, and I should still continue paying them regardless of the poor TV service. Let's review,, when I first contacted them, I asked for TV service as I already had acceptable internet service through Verizon. Their response was that I had to sign up for their internet service in order to get their TV service,, so I did. They offered 20 or 30 mbs, I signed up for 20 mbs from their recommendation as they felt 30 was not achievable without their other customers suffering. They explained in detail if they have too many customers being serviced from one tower, them the performance goes down. I agreed and accepted the 20 mbs service. Then when I received my first bill, they were charging me for the 30 mbs upgraded service, which cost more of course. Again, being courteous and professional, I called for an update on what I was being charged. The agent told me an entirely different story,, oh yes, he said, we will be able to provide you with the 30 mbs internet service, no problem. I just want to say that MontanaSky rocks! My router was not working properly and within an hour of calling them, they had me up and running with a new one in no time at no cost to me! Highly recommend due to their customer service, their internet service, and friendly staff!

We have been nothing but impressed with our Montana Sky internet. We live in Lakeside and the connection and speeds have been truly impressive. No issues with working from home, conference calls, or streaming. We did get on the list for StarLink quite some time ago and when it became available we thought we better give it a try because of how fast it is supposed to be. Let me tell you, it is nothing to write home about. We had a lot of issues with our Starlink. The speeds were very inconsistent as well as the connection. What we were told (and personally experienced) is that when it switches from one satellite to another there is an interruption. You really see and feel this on conference calls and when streaming. It was to the point where I had to completely turn video off for my calls. And the besides all that, they have zero customer service. If you have an issue, there is no one to call and no one to come assist you. If you're like me, I don't have time and am not technically patient enough to be troubleshooting and fixing my own internet.Overall, you just can't beat Montana Sky. The speed and connection are great. The pricing is more than fair. And their service is the best. You call and if they can't fix it over the phone, they come right out. Best internet service we've ever had.

Wanted to transfer my internet to my new residence but they don't provide service there "due to trees" and are charging me $200 for a disconnect fee. And still charging me monthly when I no longer live at my precious residence. Don't use them!!! It's montana clearly there will be trees everywhere... I was told I could transfer service if I moved which I tried to do. How is it my fault to know where you have service or not..
