“I can’t say enough about this shelter and the volunteers that keep it afloat.My dog passed and I missed her so much that I couldn’t shake it- I reached out to KPFL to volunteer - it seemed to make sense to help other dogs if I couldn’t have mine anymore. I started that day walking the dogs.The staff kept thanking me, and all I could think is how grateful I was for them and the work they do.It stuck. I became a board member and although I travel and am remote from the position they hear my ideas with thoughtfulness and a “how can we make that work” to benefit the shelter.They TRULY care about the quality of the animal’s life and honor them where they are.This place is a blessing for me and a blessing for the state of Montana.”
