“Brought A1 my truck and a spare transfer case to have them swap. A friend and longtime resident had recommended them. They did a good job and pricing was very fair. Would recommend them for mechanic work in Livingston - just a good old-fashioned shop. As others have said, they receive a lot of work, have a limited # of hands and a smaller shop so expect at least a couple-few weeks wait to get in. I can't speak to how they handle emergency work. However, worth the wait in my experience.”

“Best auto shop and up-fitter I’ve ever used, hands down. Value, integrity, competence, timeliness, communication, I could go on.I was first introduced to American Automotive by my Ford dealer who promised Destri would take care of me better than they could - no joke. Destri picked up my new F450 and installed a bed cover, bed liner, winch, bumper, lights package, auxiliary tank, and larger diesel tank. His labor charge was way less than I expected, and it was completed incredibly fast with flawless workmanship. I had a couple minor adjustments (the fuel was not reading correctly due to the larger tank size). Took it into Ford and they said they could do nothing. Destri updated the firmware, works perfectly.Since that fantastic experience, I was completely sold and started using Destri exclusively for all my company and personal trucks, all with similar great experiences. I have used other upfitters on my company work trucks and I have almost always been frustrated with poor quality work, lies, long wait times, and excessive costs. I can’t believe I have finally found someone who does what they say.I moved to Kalispell but keep bringing my trucks back to American Automotive for work and plan to continue to do so. Great job guys!”

“Monte was so awesome. We came in the morning because our van sounded terrible after yellowstoning the day before. He instantly stopped what he was doing, lifted the van and spotted the problem instantly. Exhaust pipe broken. He fixed it in under a min and didnt even charge us!!!! Could not have asked for experience. What a great guy”

“These guys treated us like family when our car broke down. Being on the road from Texas we were down and out and they made a potentially horrible situation manageable and even encouraging. They were fair and helpful and even let us leave our dead car on their lot for free for several weeks while we figured out what to do with it (something that would never happen in Austin). “10 out of 10. Rob and his guys are the absolute BEST!!!! I blew a tire on I-90 on my hitch pull 20ft camper. Did quite a bit of damage to the wheel well, underneath and up in a cabinet. Rob gave me an estimate within a day, and had it fixed that same week!!!!! Not only were they fast, they did incredible work. This man can truly fix anything. Genius.”

“Mr R. Gameon SAVED THE DAY! On I-90 East our 35' 5th wheel threw a wheel. (We also thank God for the young man who flagged us over to tell is that the wheel went sailing across the interstate) We drove ultra slow on the 3 wheels we had left and Mr Gameon was waiting on us.He and his worker started working right away while we took the truck back and found our wheel 19 miles away.He was friendly, capable, and recommended a delightful place for us to grab a sandwich. within 4 hours of loosing the wheel all was well and we were on our way.HIGHLY RECOMMEND!”
