While trying to close our accounts with this bank we were hit with over $400 in overdraft fees and when I called them they lady from collections insulted me and basically said I should learn to manage my money better. This banks overdraft policy is criminal and they are taking advantage of people when they’re down. Shame on you. I’m disgusted with this bank. DO NOT BANK HERE!!!!!!!!!!

I have always enjoyed the personal touches at First Security Bank. The friendly tellers at all of the branches and the service and availability of staff to answer questions and walk me through my options for my first HSA and follow contributions. But recently they won we over big time on Ice Cream Day. It was hot as ever in Missoula and after seeing all of the flyers I went to the Ryman St. location to find out what Ice Cream Day was all about. They were out! The teller called the next nearest location because she could see that I was on my bike and kind of bummed to miss out on the ice cream. The East Broadway Drivethru still had some ice cream so off I went! I conducted my banking with a friendly guy who took care of my withdrawal and even hand delivered a scoop of ice cream to me on my bike in the drive up lane.I love banking with First Security and I will continue to do so for years to come. Thank you for your excellent customer service and customer appreciation!

Terrible customer service. I closed my bank account with them but they kept it open. Automatic payments continued to be taken out, unbeknownst to me and they sent me to collections. They took no responsibility for the fact that they did not close the bank account and refused to even talk to me because they already sent me to collections. They expect me to pay their incurring fees despite the fact that they did not close the account as agreed!!!!!! They were as bad as Wells Fargo or any other big bank because that is how much they care. Do not do your banking with them.

I recently needed to retrieve copies of old cashed checks while I was out of town and received excellent customer service from Jordan B. in the customer service center. Within minutes he tracked down and sent me copies of exactly what I needed. Thanks, Jordan!

WORST customer service EVER!! The gal who set up my account had no idea what she was doing. She didn't order my checks and didn't know how to set up my online account. When I did get my checks ordered they didn't come for a month. When I called for customer service for my online account and recent transactions, I was reprimanded for not using the correct terminology. It took me three phone calls to get a employee intelligent enough to help me find my daily activity or transactions. Even the supervisor Rita (or similar name) told me what I was looking for(my transactions) wasn't an option for online banking, when that's exactly where it was! Totally lame, bank, glad I didn't let them handle my money!!!

Fast, competent service. Great rates. No BS hidden fees. Acceptable hours. Helpful live people when you call. They want your business and act accordingly. Highly recommend them if you are in the Missoula / Bitterroot area.
