Nice rooms for a 1 night stay. Was very quiet and felt safe being a single woman traveling.

Normal Motel6 experience. Good clean room. Budget price. Excellent location especially near U of M. A bit of street noise at night.

WILL FALSELY accuse you of something ur family did NOT DO!!! Would not rent to us,we stayed there monthly,,, because we left a half onion in the garbage(,,I didn't use on my salad)!.Not ever giving money to someone who doesn't have sense enough to know the difference between half a ONION and anything else ....Our room was smoked in we didn't complain just about the stong vanilla sprayed to cover it up! We tried to rent and was denied cause of the onion smell in the garbage from the half onion.Apparently the person DONT COOK! that reported this!!!! Wow REAL SMART person!!! Also a BAD area!!! Not safe at all!! Give ur money to good motels not these people!! They will falsely accuse you of something that you didn't do!!! They said it stunk,,yep small room,,half a ONION in the garbage can THAT will do it!!! I wasn't even offered to speak to management!!

Cops showed up every night. Wild, wild place. Rooms were all hardwood and loud. No dressers. Train runs behind it and can be heard at all hours.

Bleak and wholly underwhelming. Totally on par for a Motel 6. But hey … at least there’s roaches!

We stopped at another motel 6 but they had no availability, but the front desk gave us a list of other locations and this Motel 6(University) was incredibly helpful getting us a room last minute at nearly 1am. The room was clean and well stocked and the front desk associate was very kind

First of all when reading reviews for a Motel 6 understand you can’t compare to a place that’s $300/night. Of course it’s not going to be the same. It’s a basic room for the night. Really the only issue I had was the smoke smell in the room. I hate the smell of cigarettes and the bed stunk, the pillows stunk, the whole thing needed to be aired out. When I turned on the A/C it made the cigarette smell worse so past guest must have smoked while inside and the filter inside the A/C is full of that smell. Now after I left, my clothes smell like it as well. If it wasn’t for the smell, I’d stay again when in town if I wanted a bargain room. Good location, cheap price. Friendly staff. Due to the smoke, I won’t be back.

The owner Pam needs to be out of there. She is toxic for that environment. She is rude and when you bring up a concern she just disregards it and rolls her eyes. She does nothing about it. We seen a cockroach crawl across the floor. This place needs a health inspector. But I did enjoy the housekeeper they were very friendly.

I loved it, it was super nice comfy beds, great service, everything is nice. But the only thing that matters is you have to buy soap and toothpaste and brushes.

We booked this hotel through Hotels.com, and the entire experience was a nightmare from start to finish. When we checked in, the floor was filthy—I didn’t even feel comfortable taking my shoes off. The air conditioning unit was covered in dust and grime, and there were no basic room amenities: no shampoo or microwave.
Things only got worse when we turned on the shower and saw hair swirling in several inches of standing water. It was honestly one of the grossest hotels I've ever seen, especially for $175 a night.
The front desk staff was inconsistent. One woman was kind enough to clean our floor, but another was rude and aggressive saying we couldn't get a refund because we spent more then 20 mins in the room (we didn't). Some other guests were friendly but were smoking right outside their rooms, adding to the unpleasant atmosphere.
While we were waiting at the front desk to ask for our room to be cleaned, a man in front of us was asking for a woman’s room number—which, thankfully, the staff declined to share. Moments later, a staff member mentioned they couldn’t access another room because the latch was locked from the inside, and the guest was supposed to have checked out. They said they were going to call the police to make sure everything was okay. That was the final red flag for us.
To make matters worse, when we tried to get a refund and leave, the front desk refused to help us. Since we booked through Hotels.com, we had to go through them, and that process was just as frustrating. Hotels.com called motel6 and the front desk staff refused to help them too. So we ended up booking another hotel for 300$ a night instead of 175 (without a refund) and were told we’d have to wait 48–72 hours to hear back from a motel 6 manager if we would get a refund or not.
We were traveling with a baby and didn’t feel safe staying another minute. I would absolutely not recommend this hotel, especially for families.
We ended up getting a full refund from hotels.com

The lady who helped us at 11pm was amazing. Nicest person I have ever had at a hotel. The rooms bathroom door was very dirty and wouldnt close. Tub holds a bit of water making your feet take a bath while you shower.

I’ll never get another Motel 6 again. We paid $130 for the worst room we’ve ever stayed in. We could’ve gotten a pretty nice hotel for that much!
The room was not provided with any soaps (you have to buy them in the lobby), no fridge, microwave, coffee maker, iron, ironing board, alarm clock, or Kleenex tissues, and had only one partial roll of toilet paper on the holder in the bathroom.
The bathtub kept filling up as we showered, meaning it was probably clogged and hadn’t been cleaned out. The room is so grungy and not kept up from wear and tear. The toilet seat was so worn that the brown underneath showed through in places making it appear dirty. Toilet seats are so easy to replace! There was a toilet plunger in the corner by the toilet that sat in a plastic trash can liner and had dried toilet paper stuck to it.
The room itself looked like what I imagine a prison room to look like. Though all the lights were on, the lighting was so dim and a depressing color and made me feel down. There was no decor on the walls. I halfway expected the sheets to be dirty and bed bugs in the bed.
I’d give it a 0 star if I could.

Despite all the average reviews I had a great stay for 8 nights. Worked out at $54 a night. Views of the nearby mountains. Sure there is a few freight trains but that’s what white noise is there for on your iPhone. Great restaurant adjacent that is built on a creek. Very well connected to roads as it’s in a major MT city and also an easy walk into town for a few beers and good food.
