Tuesday the 5th in the men's shoe department the man working refused to help anyone. He started by criticizing the people in front of us and just told them no and walked away instead of asking them if they wanted a different size or a different shoe. The woman was even so surprised how he refused to help. When he got to us he was also very short. We asked him for a certain shoe and a size in that shoe and he just said no and walked away. He was rude and did not even begin to know what costumer service meant. You could tell he didn't want to work that day and he didn't want to talk to anyone. It was a chore when someone asked him for a shoe. It was disappointing to see so many people have to leave the department because of this one person working this one person refused to help. It was between 2-3:30pm.

I love this store! One of the employees turned on the shooting game for my kids, which was really thoughtful. They have the most awesome Lego collections too.

Remarkable selection of just about anything sports or outdoors related. I live out of state from any Scheels location, but I'm certainly going to visit when it's time for another high end rifle purchase. They're about the only game around that has, IN STOCK, most anything you'd be researching and wanting to put hands on before dropping real money. Helpful and friendly staff, and something there to keep the entire family's interest while dad goes cross-eyed in the gun dept.

Such a fun store! So expensive honestly. You could spend sooooo much money here. But they do have a lot of stuff and apparently high quality brands.

Stores I have visited are great. Great customer service and selection.Mail order service is horrible, who ever packs the shipments is a complete IDIOT.I ordered several boxes of ammo, who ever shipped and packed it should be FIRED, both orders !! Three boxes of ammo in a box twice to big. ZERO PACKING I MEAN ZERO, second shipment two boxes very little packing and a box too big. Both shipments raddled around like a BB in a box car.Did anyone teach these warehouse people how to pack a box for shipment !!Both shipments came from different locations.IS POOR packing of shipments a company wide issue?I worked logistics and shipping many years ago, had I done work like this my tenor there would be very short.Management should realize proper shipping, proper order filling equals repeat business and zero issues with damaged shipments. Darn good thing Hornady makes good ammo boxes, as they were destroyed by the time I received them, but the contents were ok. I have ordered ammo from many places in my life NEVER has this poor of shipment packing.Do your self a favor if you mail order ammo use someone else but Scheels

I called and asked if they had any bib overalls that were not insulated and if they had any area long sleeve shirts they said they had both so I drove 45 min just for them not to have any thing I asked for. My frustration is a 10 I won't be back

I had a fantastic experience here. I was shopping for new running shoes because my Hoka’s were giving me blisters. The sales associate, Jeff I believe, helped me. He took his time and had an enormous amount of knowledge about all the shoes. He helped me try on as many pairs as I wanted and more. He gave great insight and advice. I ended up buying the Brooks Ghost 15 and I’ve already run about 20 miles in them both on the road and trails and they are fantastic.

Not a Trek store!!! Not a bike shop at all!I was in this shop multiple times and each time I spent at least 5 minutes before anyone asked me if I needed anything (twice I was not asked at all!) and they have no idea how a bicycle should be maintained from what I heard from someone at the counter.I’ve worked for a reputable Trek retailer and we would never (along with any actual Trek Store) let any customer “wonder” without a greeting, let alone have someone shaking bikes for minutes without a question. Thanks so much Scheels! I’ll never be back!!!

I wish I could give a 0 Star rating!!! After 5+ minutes in the store I had stop not been greeted or asked if I needed help (after spending the 5 minutes playing with bikes)! I came in to talk about Trek Bikes but found nobody around and after I heard what the "mechanics" were saying I walked out quickly.I hope TREK will have them remove the logo because I thought this was an Actual Bike Shop not a sports store with bikes!!! Thanks for no customer service and even less knowledge of bikes! Also my buddy that went there got the wrong size shirt, when he went to return it none of the shirts were on the right size hanger and multiple of them had a much higher price on them. So watch what you buy and make sure there's not another one with a much lower price on it!Basically this place is NOT WHERE YOU WANT TO GO!!!Avoid this place if you can!

Shout out to the sales person in the shoe dept today! Helped my husband find the perfect fitting hiking shoe along with socks and even followed us to the archery dept to help us with other gear. Have always loved Scheels and their staff are top notch!

The guys in Archery are awesome. Friendly staff, smiles and a positive vibe, starting the moment I walk into the store, every time. Three weeks ago, my 14-yr old son and I stopped in to look at compound hunting bows. We didn't stand there more than 15 seconds before someone greeted us. They asked Doug {Manager in Archery?) to come over to help us, and he spent 20 minutes answering questions, showing us their products and then took my son back to actually shoot a bow. My son "lit up" as soon as he launched his first arrow into a target. It was a fun moment to discover that he might like archery, something that I love. We didn't but any archery equipment that day.A few days ago, I bought a used hunting bow for my son at a pawn shop. It needed a tune up. We went back to Scheels. Doug remembered us, greeted my son and I at the Archery desk and asked what he could do for us. He listened, took a thorough look at the bow, which we didn't purchase at Scheels, and gave us some good advice. Then he handed us off to Max, who made the dusty, used bow shine. Max worked on it for 20 minutes, installed a new peep sight, and test fired it several times with my son. It was a good experience for both of us.I was ready to pay $50-75 for their time and professional skills, and all they charged me was $9 for the peep sight.WHAT?!?Customer service and hard-working employees who know their stuff is apparently what Scheels is all about. I'm sold. Scheels has gotten lots of business from my family, and will continue to be our number 1 stop.

From east coast so never been to a scheels, I like it better than the outdoor stores we have back home and I even went to this "small one" in Missoula. They have just about everything you need for hunting and camping. Biggest selection of firearms I've seen on the floor so that was really cool to test actions of all the rifles. As I was checking out I was conversing with the guy ringing me out and I told him it was my first time to scheels and he hooked me up with a free hat and t shirt with the Scheels logo! So nice of him to do that. They also have a 5% military discount as well!!!

Every time I go into this store I feel good... The staff are always friendly and helpful... They seem to love bantering around and having a good time... It's becoming a rare commodity and much appreciated... Plus a reasonably large and diverse inventory... ?? Keep up the good work

So much to do here! Bowling, arcade, shooting "range", kids zone, and a fudge shop! Great clearance prices on sports apparel! Would like to see more sizes offered in store and a larger selection of sports apparel.

Great place. The staff are nice and eager to help, and they have just about every outdoor item there is and then some. In addition, they also have some high quality bikes, which earns a thumbs up from me, as very few large retailers sell quality bikes.
