We've used Stockman bank for our mortgage because we have a great lender, Becky Peterson (who is great!) but I must say the as a customer I would never choose to use this bank.I would NOT recommend banking with them, instead of making my life easier it is more complicated. The online platform is essentially useless, confusing and virtually impossible to complete any banking needed. In order to change or alter any payments you have to call them, and be bounced around between customer service agents. I've been transfered up to 4 times to get to the person I need to talk to.

If I could give zero stars I would. WORST BANK EVER. My wife and I are over 40, we work secure jobs in the medical field, we would be considered first-time home buyers (since it has been more than 7 years since we bought one), we have a combined credit score better than 700, my wife and I make greater than $125K per year, we have never had a blemish on our credit, we have $10K in savings with about $3300 in credit card 'debt' and yet Stockman's Bank couldn't qualify us for a home purchase. In a market where an average home costs $400K, we make too much to qualify for any loan assistance programs and with a credit score just over 700, it's considered too "low" for their mortgage criteria. We were turned down virtually immediately!! Worse even still, they sold our info to other 'lending partners' literally 24 hours after completing the loan application on-line! We have been getting non-stop SPAM calls from several less-than-desirable lenders. I feel so used! Anyway, we were told to try again in a year "after [their] credit inquiry cleared our credit file" and we had "saved up more money". ***OPINION*** If I worked at Walmart for minimum wage and my wife was a stay-at-home mom with 3 kids to manage they'd have no trouble getting me into a home. Pretty sad day when an honest, hard-working, tax paying, bill paying, middle-class 'empty nest' couple can't get a loan for a home. Disgusting times we live in, I'm sick of paying the gross taxes I pay so other people can live off the system. When the ballooning housing market "pops" and a nasty recession grips America, maybe Stockman's will come crawling back to me? LOL, I doubt it, but one can always dream, right?

We sold our home and moved 1300 miles and gave the Stockman Bank more than enough time to schedule and complete important tasks prior to our scheduled closing date. The lack of urgency, empathy, and the inability to delegate essential tasks during our home loan financing process has been nothing short of shocking. There have been numerous miscommunications between departments within Stockman Bank that caused us to push back our closing date have cost us thousands of dollars. We have been "under contract" for more than 50 days. The customer service from the loan officer has been abysmal and the lack of initiative to fix the situation that they have caused is nonexistent. I would absolutely not recommend using this bank as a home loan lender.

Not a very professional bank, fought everyday to get return emails, get different responses of evaluation of loan docs within the same bank, one of the loan officer had a personal issue with me because I had filed a complaint, and they left my loan docs with her anyway, and you can guess where that went

Did everything I was asked to do, submitted all paperwork I was asked to submit, very little in responsiveness, emails go weeks unanswered. Tell me they will look at the paperwork, and then nothing, absolutely nothing. I have never in my life dealt with loan officers like this. The most frustrating experience ever!

Worked with many banks in Missoula and this is by far the best. Working with Brandon Dwyer has been great.

Much better interest rates than other local banks. The staff can be a bit snippy, but that can be the same for anywhere. They have more and more locations popping up around Missoula.

Reached out to Stockman Business Banking to assist us in the SBA process. We had an initial conversation and forwarded several needed documents to move forward. We did not get any acknowledgement they received the documents. Almost three weeks later we received a call telling us to call MOFI because they get Federal funds. If you were to check recent TIF funding awards you would see Stockmans listed as receiving a large sum of money from small business owners to build a multiple story ATM machine that refers you out to get Federal funds so they can keep theirs. Stick to fun runs and walkathons business division because you have no intention of helping small businesses and three weeks to get back to us? We would be out of business if we ever pulled that. Just staff waiting for their checks!
