A magical place. Oh, to be a kid again to walk through those doors to explore this place. This establishment was a surprise during our visit to Philipsburg. Candies of every size, shape, color & flavor.

This place is sweet tooth heavenly experience. I thought I was going to pass out from a sugar rush coma. This place was so amazing and I love that alot of the chocolates, taffy and fudge are home made. It's so great cause you buy by the pound and you can mix and match candy. Note to people with nut allergies I would not recommend the chocolate in cases or fudge do to cross contamination. Thanks to Lexi who warned me or i would have had a real emergency. But all there are a ton of other candies around for you to try. I love the taffy, bubble gum and other assorted treats. They also had alot of stuff animals which I ended with a cute little red octopus. Sugar-free candy is available.

Great nostalgic feel in this candy land shop. I recommend a first pass through the shop without picking anything out as you can end up with WAY too much candy when you get to the end. The homemade chocolates had great flavor, but I wish there were two sizes to the nut clusters as they are huge. It would also be nice to have some smaller bags for the jelly beans as there are 70+ varieties and I prefer to keep the sweet ones separate from the salty ones for flavor mixing.Tons of variety and nice staff make this a great shopping stop.

I was very much hoping to love this place. I've lived in Montana 20 years and have wanted to try this place the entire time, I finally got the opportunity and am a bit let down. The selection is massive, The atmosphere is great, it's like walking into an old timey candy shop. I loved that about the place. The meh part is that the majority of the store is candy I can buy almost anywhere. But it's neat that it is being offered in one store. The bad part is that we picked a selection of taffy, some lacked flavor and were stale, so it started with a stale flavor upon first chew then just went into the wife and I asking each other what flavor is it meant to be? Same with some Jelly beans, they are hard and not very great. The great part though and why it is worth 3 stars is because of the fudge, the fudge is fantastic. I wish we just loaded up on that bit. The staff members were nice and personable, The selection was overwhelming and was hard to pick out the candy you desired. ( not a bad thing in my opinion) The price was also very reasonable. My opinion over all is that, with the amount of selection they have in store, there is no way they can keep it all fresh. The taffy is quickly wrapped and placed in large bins. The jelly beans are in big canisters so by the time they hit the bottom of the jar they are going to be old and stale unless they are a popular flavor.Knowing this I would not go to the store for Taffy ( which I love and was hoping to find a local place to get it from) Nor would I go for some of the unwrapped loose candy. But I would go for the Fudge, The chocolate caramel pecan is amazing. I am glad i finally got to try the place, just wish it lived up to the name of "the world's greatest candy store."

This shop is full to bursting with sweets of all kinds! I wish there were dairy-free chocolate options, but there is still something for everyone.

Oh. My. Goodness! Soooo much Candy. It’s easy to spend $100 as a fam just filling up the bags with a couple of everything you could ever want. From chocolate to sours and everything in between. There’s also a huge variety of sugar free candies/chocolates. The store is very clean and checkout is smooth. Nothing beats the vintage aesthetic. They even have a Penny machine! Definitely recommend to everyone.

After a family camping trip we decided to check out the candy shops in western Montana and the sweet palace left the old west candy shop in darby in the dust. These guys really have recreated what I would have imagined a classic frontier candy shop to be. My only complaint is that they were busy, not so busy it's not worth a visit, just don't expect to have the place to yourself.

We visit Philipsburg every year and this is a place we stop at every time! They have all kinds of candy and fudge and chocolates. I haven't had one thing in here that wasn't yummy! They also have an insane variety of salt water taffy made in store. There is a reason this shop is world famous!!

Love this place! Have been there a few times over the last few years. The selection of candy is overwhelming! People are friendly. I would have given 5* but when we got home the bag that the shop supplies you with to choose your candy with opened up. A bad seal at bottom of bag! Yikes! Jelly belly beans all over the driveway! ! Fortunately they were jelly beans and not chocolate! We picked them up, brushed them off and we ate them! Great shop but might want to invest in reliable candy bags.

The Sweet Palace is a Montana must visit place! Located in historic, beautiful Phillipsburg. Voted for many things including one of the best painted towns in America. The Sweet Palace has old time hard candies, many licorice flavors, fresh fudge in too many flavors to count, chocolate covered nuts, hand-pulled taffy, hand puppets, and stuffed animals. Plan to take a small cooler with ice to keep your chocolate from melting!

This candy shop has everything. It takes you back to the days when Penny Candy was a thing. Obviously, the candy is a little more expensive now, but I loved the old timey feel. The staff is super helpful and knowledgeable about the candy in the store. It's paid by the pound minus the chocolate, so you can mix it all up if you want. The chocolate is yummy, and the staff member who works the case answers any questions you have. It's a great place to take the kids to show them how life used to be or as an adult to reminisce how life once was.

Beautiful shop with huge variety of candies.???? My fiance and I came here today from Anaconda and enjoyed the time we spent in there looking around and filling up a couple bags of candy. The ladies who worked there today were very polite and helpful and prices are affordable. We munched on some of our candy on our way home and it is delicious! ?
