Chef Jackie and her team are beyond amazing. Highly recommend the chefs tasting with experience at the counter and of course with pairings. I’m a foodie. And Sage is my go to when I’m home in MT. I love the rotation in the menu, she customizes it as well. You can add to it as you wish….. if you haven’t had it splurge on the A5 sashimi.Every time I come by for dinner, alone or with a guest, I am treated phenomenally well. Every staff member is on point. They even make excellent mocktails for those that don’t drink.I look forward to treating myself to the elegance of Sage at least quarterly for the rotation of the chefs menu. It’s a place that serves elevated dining in a rustic elegant setting, come in jeans or Louboutins (as I prefer)It is expensive but it is worth it. Sage The Grill is not for those seeking a casual moderate price quick meal. I feel most the reviews here do not understand the pace and style of The Grill. I’ve enjoyed a meal here at least 6-8 times and every time gets better.

It is likely one of the most enjoyable dining experiences in recent memory. I savored the Bison steak and sampled the pork chop. The delectable sweet potato puree with the pork chop combined in a close-your-eyes experience. I will definitely return.

My husband and I had a lovely dinner at the very quiet Grill the day after Valentine's. The service was very good, as was the food. The steak and salmon were very good, the veggie sides were ok.

Atmosphere was amazing and our waitress was awesome! We attended their Valentine's Day menu. I wish the menu was shared on open table because we probably would have forgone the restaurant. Main dish was good but for the price ($145) a “4 course meal” wasn't what we would call four courses. A very small appetizer and sorbet was the second course. The sorbet was served as a bite or two as a palate cleanser. Dessert was tasty but a small portion as well. For the price the value just wasn't there for us.

The food is not very good for the price. The service is probably not normally bad but was on the evening we went. I'd definitely recommend the fireside for dinner over the grill.

Great atmosphere, staff, food and menu. There was not one thing that wasn't perfect! I especially appreciated the thoughtful variety of menu items, most being locally sourced. Dinner was delicious. Will definitely go back!

Wonderful ambiance, welcoming accommodating staff, exquisite food! This place was amazing. A elegant dining room with an open kitchen experience. Their drink selection and menu was impressive. The steaks were excellent, one of the best I've had. Expensive but worth the overall experience.

Beautiful setting, delicious food, great service. Just need to wash the inside of the windows. The dinning room windows had a dirty film on them guessing from the kitchen. No excuse, they should be sparkling like the view.

We did our christmas eve dinner there with a large party and the food was very hit and miss. My meal was so salty I couldn’t eat it and others who tried it said it was so salty it burned their mouths. It was a prefix meal so with three courses and a dessert and they were not clearing our plates. 8 people with multiple courses, they started to pile up. Overall, very disappointed we chose a holiday dinner there especially when considering the price.

The hostess greeted us warmly and sat us at a lovely window table. Tara, our server was wonderful, witty and attentive. She gave the perfect amount of small talk and advice on menu items. The prefix menu was perfect! Each course seemed to get better and better as the night went on. Our Christmas dinner will always be a fond memory with more visits to come. Thank you for the great meal, service and experience.

The Grill at Sage Lodge offered a beautiful setting and attentive service for our Christmas Eve prix fixe dinner. Unfortunately, the food itself didn't quite live up to the setting, delivering a mixed bag of hits and misses. The lobster bisque arrived lukewarm and lacked the expected depth of flavor. The scallops were a highlight. Perfectly cooked, buttery, and delicious. My elk tenderloin also delivered on tenderness and flavor, but the accompanying risotto was sadly uninspired. My husband's steak, while tender, lacked flavor, but his mashed potatoes were perfect. For dessert, the chocolate torte was decadent and tasty. The custard, on the other hand, was excessively sweet. Overall, The Grill offered a beautiful setting and good service, but the food fell short of expectations.

This was the best Bison Ribeye we have ever eaten. I don’t know how the mashed potatoes were made but they were delicious!!! Asparagus was great. They fell short on the lobster, very small portion for the price & the flavor was lacking.I would definitely recommend & I would go back for more.
