This was a pretty cool place to go, the view from the top was beautiful, but I wouldn't suggest going after it has snowed the trail gets pretty slippery and hard to climb.

It's a lengthy, bumpy ride there however upon arrival you realize why you took the trip. There are different pathways to take and you can walk on them for a good while. We were there for 3.5 hrs enjoying the sites. Moments on top of the mountain where the thin air makes your heart jump out, that's when we would stop and just stare out at once in a lifetime views.

Very cool place, steeped in history. You can feel the ancients there.Nice hiking trails, and beautiful views from the top of the jump.Highly recommended. If you're going by on I-90, it is well worth an hour or two and stop for the experience.

30 miles from Bozeman Hotsprings RV Park. Zero chance to get lost if your phone has a verbal navigator. *! Last 2 miles into Buffalo Jump State Park is a Rail road ROUGH gravel road that will shake your teeth out over 5 m.p.h..The park ? has a Clean rest room, plenty of parking AND a lock box & envelope to pay if you leave your car. $8.00 for out of state. No water, concession stand, no tables or chairs available. Not my idea of Kid or pet friendly. From your car to the only covered view point info center is 1/4 mile, up hill on a 1 person wide dirt trail. ALL up & down to the Top of the Plateau. 2 miles round trip AND you can get caught in a Thunder storm Down pour with only scrub trees to hide under. STUNNING Magnificent view for those fit enough to make it to the top. Go only as far as your legs/lungs will take you. I am 70. However i have been a laborer for the last 34 yrs. So a little advantage.

Great off the beaten path state park. The trail up to the informational center was snow covered but what do you expect in February in Montana. Our family enjoyed our short hike up to the information center to learn all about the Madison Buffalo Jump. Montana has done a great job to showcase it's history for others to learn.

Beautiful scenery didn't see buffalo but enjoyed the small hike to a look out with interesting facts about the Buffalo in the area and how the hunters used to use the area to locate buffalo

We spent just a couple of hours with a group at Madison Buffalo Jump State Park, but it was enough to know we will go back. The views along the trails are breathtaking, and the interpretive pavilion provides interesting information about the history of the place and the native people.A pit toilet and plenty of parking make a visit here easy and convenient.Restrooms: One of the cleanest pit toilets I've used.

It's interesting. Not spectacular and they could use better signage. There are trails for which you have no idea where they lead.Restrooms: Very clean, well maintainedPicnic area: Very clean with some decent shade.

It was ok. The panels were great. A brochure with the trails would have been nice. It would be good to drive to the top.

It’s amazing what happened here many years ago and the “exhibit” that the state has put at the best view of the Cliff
