The lodge was wonderful.Nearby activities: Boat ride on the lake was very nice.Food & drinks: The buffet was very disappointing. the food was tasteless, and we had to wait for long periods of time for items to be put out so we could try something different. Waste of $100 for 2 people. Next night, the food in the bar was better, but not much.

It's all about location, location, location.Rooms: There are basic rooms that you got when you weren't summer camp. Don't expect air conditioning. But you also don't really need it.Nearby activities: Tons of hiking, you can swim in the lake, kayak on the lake or paddle board.

Great hotel - another historic classic National Parks lodge. We didn't have the benefit of staying here, but it was the launching point for a lake tour by boat. We enjoyed the trip immensely and it was a beautiful time to experience the lake. It wasn't super crowded even though it was 4th of July weekend.Nearby activities: Great place to start for boat trips on the lake.

I was at the Lodge to take photos....it is one of the best places to take reflection photos on the west side as it is usually very still.

Beautiful historic lodge, great location. Stopped in for food and drink after a long hike. Staff was friendly. Bison brat, elk burger, huckleberry spritzer were all very good. Must wander down to the lake to take in the beautiful waters.

An amazing hotel within the Glacier National Park. Very well maintained with the rustic feel. One of the oldest hotels in the US and totally worth it if you can find rooms.Rooms: Old rustic rooms but in great shape.Nearby activities: Kayaking, hikes, boat toursFood & drinks: Has limited food options and is generally crowded and takes time to get seated.Noteworthy details: One of the oldest hotels in the US having been built in 1914. They have kept the rustic feel and have maintained it really well. Direct access to McDonald lake with some great views.

Very friendly staff and good service in the restaurant and bar. Disappointing was the overall cleanliness of the lodge though for a highly priced lodge such as this.

This review is for the staff at the Lake McDonald Lodge. While my husband and I did not stay here while on vacation in Glacier, we unexpectedly rolled in to the parking lot with major vehicle trouble as it was the closest location on our drive on the Going to the Sun Road. The maintenance guy came out and literally crawled under our truck and spent a good bit of his free time ensuring that we would be safe to drive to an Auto shop. Inside the Lodge, we were provided with the Wi-Fi password and a printed list of local Auto shops. When the Wi-Fi didn’t work for us they let us use the lodge landline phone and make multiple calls. All in all they helped turn a very stressful situation into a more tolerable one with their kindness and customer service (and we weren’t even their customers!)

We very much enjoyed our meal at the restaurant. But out stay at the Snyder building in one of the bunk bed rooms was awful. The walls are very thin so we heard suitcases rolling across the floor above us multiple times, people walking in the hall outside, etc. The bathroom is quite large and shared by all but there are no mats for the floor so if you go in after someone showered you will be walking in water. Then the floor gets dirty from shoes and if you want to take a shower you’ll be walking through dirty water. The only thing in the communal “kitchen” area is a tiny microwave. Just beware, you get what you pay for.

We just came to visit the infamous fruity pebble lake. The beautiful colorful rocks in the clear waters, with the view of the mountains, was well worth the quick stop. You are allowed to swim here but is was a tad bit too cool to do so but however, we enjoyed the view.

My husband and I stayed here last year after getting engaged at Glacier National. We stayed in the Cobb House on Lake McDonald and absolutely loved it! The location is gorgeous and the grounds are well kept. We would definitely come here again!

A great place to visit even though we did not have a room there. While we waited for our boat ride, we had a meal, visited the gift shop and enjoyed the comfy rocking chairs overlooking the shore and dock.Food & drinks: We ate here twice and each meal was great. Top level servers working hard. Tables were bussed quickly and flow of people in and out was steady without very long waits, even over Labor Day Weekend. We were killing time waiting to get on a boat ride and didn’t feel rushed. I ordered the charcuterie board which had duck meat and bison. It was delicious.

Charming historic lodge on Lake McDonald. The grand lobby has an enormous wood burning fireplace that felt fantastic this chilly morning. This is a nice meetup place, from the groups playing games at the long wooden tables, to those warming by the fireplace. There's a nice gift shop and there is a dock on the lake for boat tours.

Great other than the fire alarm going off at 2am for a false alarm! And they had a fan in the room that didn't work but other than that it was good!
