We showed up at the end of the summer season when it was very slow. Great time to visit the park and this place. The hotel was clean and the receptionist was eager to help us acquire a room for the night. It was five in the afternoon when we showed unannounced, she quickly had us in a room for what we (my fiancé and I) believe was the cheapest in town for the night at a $100. BIG rooms, clean, 2 queens with 4 great pillows on each and a well stocked room and even a well stocked "snack bar" with free coffee, free hot chocolate and a creamer machine my girl wants at our house now, ha. Pleasant stay, convenient to the park, restaurants and bars/drinks. We would recommend this place.Rooms: The rooms are big. At least the double queen room we stayed in was. Clean too.

I hated staying here. Worse than a Super 8 but twice as expensive. I stay in budget hotels all the time but this is definitely the worst.I’ve never stayed somewhere where you could actually hear the people below you - their conversations, TV, doors closing, it’s crazy. Walls are obviously thin as well, feel free to join your neighbors’ conversations and make new friends. At midnight last night I had to listen to this lady hack and cough junk out of her throat for 30 minutes straight.Stay anywhere else or just sleep in your car, I guarantee either would be better than this nightmare.

I stayed in room 101. The bed is comfortable, the shower is hot and the pressure is good. Those points are tops on my list. I loved the embroidered sheets and the size of the room was spacious. The whole place was very clean and there was 24/7 hot water and coffee. The breakfast buffet was bountiful and the servers were courteous and attentive. It was a great place to stay while visiting Yellowstone. I highly recommend.

What a dump! The room had that disinfectant smell when we walked in. The beds should have been replaced 20 years ago. The toilet was made for a little person. I could barely fit my a__ on it. The bathroom was so small, the tiny toilet came very close to the shower on one side and the wall on the other. There was a pink residue on the trim on one side. I don't know if it was mold, mildew, or what (see pic). The trim touching the shower was clearly rotted (see pic) or worse. The highlight of the room was the shower, which had good pressure and a modern head. The "free" breakfast buffet was awful. I couldn't even drink 1 cup of the coffee. The bacon was good. The "scrambled" eggs were the worst I've ever had. They certainly didn't come from happy chickens! The second morning we gladly paid for a delightful breakfast at the Euro Cafe.Would I come back here? Never!!!

Very dated hotel, and expensive for quality. Very close to Yellowstone however. Hotel rooms are very old, and beds (we had two queens) were both completely sacked. We had black mold in the bathroom ceiling- when addressed with staff the “fix” was to be painted over while we were gone during the day. Positives include location, friendly and responsive staff, and breakfast (only because it was included with our room). If you are sensitive to molds/mildew, have neck/back issues with sacked beds, or are hoping for a more modern/updated hotel experience, this may not be the place for you.

If we call from our room Sunday morning at 9:45am and politely ask for a late checkout of noon, and then White Buffalo says “yes.” …Then you send multiple people to our room at 11:15am saying “no it’s 11:30, or at the latest 11:50,” then you absolutely deserve this garbage review.

Manager can’t take time to fix a problem. Wash machines don’t work. Didn’t spin clothes. I had to wring them the best I could. After 45 min of drying high heat still not dry. Put another $2 in and 45 min still not dry. We are talking. T-shirts and tops!! Front desk couldn’t walk away to tape a out of order on machine.

Horrible service. Called about late check, had to repeat my room number 3 times bc the girl was not understanding me and then she clearly asked what time I would like to check out. I told her noon, she said ok. Then at 11:15, 2 people come to my door saying late check out is at 11:30. The same girl I talked to on the phone is now saying they only do late checkout until 11:30. Would never recommend.

We only stayed one night but honestly wanted to stay for two. Older but clean and lots of character. Kids would love it (big white ceramic buffalo statue in the lobby). Ask for the lower level as there's no elevator. No pool tho...some of the photos for the hotel show a pool.Rooms: Real, actual, snow white comforters. Not kidding. Spacious and spotless. Hot water took a little while to kick in for a shower.Nearby activities: Two blocks from main street, walkable to all the restaurants and attractions.Safety: Located on a side street off the strip (main Street of West Yellowstone). Well lit and in a good area.Walkability: Also a little park right across the street.Food & drinks: Breakfast buffet included. Hot delicious breakfast--eggs, meats-- with fresh fruit, juices, pastries.Noteworthy details: Lovely courtyard with picnic tables, benches, flowers, and even a few workout machines (primitive). Lots of garbages to clean out your car. Little snack bar and coffee room.

Older building with *no elevator*, so make sure to book a ground floor room if you have mobility issues or will have trouble bringing your luggage up the stairs. The plus side is that the room itself is pretty spacious. Fridge didn't have a freezer compartment. Reception staff was very courteous. Included breakfast buffet had decent variety of standard fare and drinks, though we had to pay for our child separately. Overall good value here given the proximity to Yellowstone. 4.5⭐Nearby activities: Just across the street from a soccer field and playground in case kids need to burn off some energy after a long car ride.Noteworthy details: Front row of street parking has access to standard wall outlets for overnight car charging, but you need to arrive by quite early afternoon to get a spot there.

Great location, reasonable price, clean room, great breakfast (just note you only get 2 complimentary breakfasts per room, so you might have to buy additional).

We stayed with family during our visit to the Yellowstone National Park. Location is good, in a quiet place & very near to gas station, convenience store and food joints.Rooms: Our room was nice, having all basic facilities, on the ground floor. AC was working well. So was microwave.Safety: No safety related issue cropped up during our stay.Walkability: The hotel is at a walkable distance from the town, food joints, convenience store.Food & drinks: Breakfast is strictly for two persons. Each additional one is chargeable at $12. Lesser price for children below 5 years. Nothing permitted to be taken to the room.

Maybe we had some bad timing or maybe West Yellowstone is a tourist trap, but this was not a good hotel experience. The beds were uncomfortable, the breakfast "buffet" is just a lackluster continental breakfast with staff who plate your food, and the parking situation was sketchy. We will not be going back.
