I recently moved to Whitefish, Montana, and needed to set up a checking account. Erik made the entire process incredibly quick and seamless. First turn off: Different department for bank branch, debit cards, online banking
Waited a few weeks for the initial card in the mail. Account closed after a major banking error plummeted my checking acount the exact same amount it reflected positive when I had the exact same amount positive and sent my balance to someone else via Cashapp. Clearly, this was due to the fact that I was an irresponsible person financially or because of pending transactions... (went SAME amount negative to the cent that it was positive)
Bank manager stumped. Solution: tell your client you don't have a time machine to see what happened, assure they are wrong, send it to collections. -5 stars. Go to Glacier Bank . Glaciers might be melted but their brains aren't

I'm done with First Interstate. Switching to Glacier Bank. This is the worst Bank I've ever used. They can't do cashiers check in drive thru. They can't close account in drive thru. They close randomly or early and don't have anything posted. They are not a dependable Bank. Glacier Bank does these things in drive thru and has better hours and is dependable.

I have multiple loans and my business account at this bank and the last four times I have gone to conduct business there I have received a lecture from one of the tellers. One was recently lecturing me about cashing a check issued by FIB ( from an overpayment on a loan) and she wanted to know who issued the check. I’m not sure if it is because I am a woman or they just don’t need the business but I hate going there because someone is going to give me hell for just trying to conduct my banking.

The loan officer lied to my fiancé about her second on the house, had me sing on the loan thinking it was a rewrite I did. Not the case 15 negative marks on my credit dropped 120+ points. Thanks for that!

We have been at this bank for over three years. They are always professional and efficient. We recently went in and signed documents with their notary, which is free as a member. I like the online banking and use it more than the actual bank.

We have had 3 accounts at First Interstate Bank in Whitefish since December of 2000. The service is always top-notch. I use the drive through, and the tellers are excellent! Our business account has many transactions each month, including credit card processing deposits. In all these years, there has never been an error. I've banked at 2 other local banks, and those other banks have made several errors with far fewer transactions. I highly recommend First Interstate!

They ignored multiple letters they requested so they can charge a monthly fee for a free checking account.
