Garden Wall Inn is absolutely a treasure. The location is perfect to downtown Whitefish. Restaurants and shopping are just a few blocks walk. Every detail is attended to perfectly by Chris and Rhonda. The Inn is quiet and very clean. The breakfast is fresh, visually beautiful and delicious. I loved it and I cannot wait to return! Thank you Chris and Rhonda for making our first visit to Montana so special!

I agree with all the 5 star reviews, particularly as to Rhonda and Chris.Never have we enjoyed hosts like these two! They know just what's needed at any time, and their advice as to what to see and do, and where to dine, seems perfectly adapted to their guests. We were there for nine nights, so we got to know each other, but they don't need that much time to give you great advice for the day.The Whitefish area has numerous great restaurants. Just don't be disappointed if they are not quite as wonderful as the Garden Wall Inn's included breakfasts. Thank you Chris and Rhonda! We will be back.Rooms: Vintage style, immaculate.Walkability: Within blocks of downtown Whitefish- not a big town.

Garden Wall Inn is the most enjoyable Inn we've ever experienced. Chris and Rhonda are superior hosts! Their graciousness, attention to detail, culinary creativity, and knowledge of when/where/how to enjoy Whitefish and surrounding natural resources - are boundless!!

This is the best place we have ever stayed, the hospitality is absolutely amazing! The breakfasts were absolutely delicious. They are so thoughtful with everything, from a blanket on your chair in the morning in case you get cold to chocolates on your pillow at night. One morning we had to leave early for a hike & they packed us an amazing breakfast to take with us. We talked to the owners, Chris & Rhonda, and it was refreshing to hear how they source their food from local farms & businesses. Chris & Rhonda were helpful with recommendations for hikes in Glacier National Park as well as places to eat around Whitefish. We loved every minute there & would love to come back!

Let me just say, this was an amazing stay. The room was sweet, and just enough space. The breakfast each day was 5 star all the way. We arrived very late our first night and Chris was there to greet us at the door with such a warm welcome. During breakfast each day, Rhonda and Chris made a point to stop by for a chat and explain where all the meal ingredients come from. Each night a fan was put in the room window to let the fresh mountain air in. We went to the local farmers market to get a Huckleberry bear claw and Rhonda had ask them to save us one, wow that was so sweet. We may not get back to Whitefish soon but when we do this will be our first stop. If you want to be pampered and enjoy peace and quite this is the spot.

We just spent 6 nights at the Garden Wall Inn for our 25th anniversary. Chris has grown up in the area, and he was so knowledgeable about Glacier and the surrounding area. He offered us many excellent tips and suggestions. He put a fan in our window every evening and chocolates on our bed, and it was so inviting after a long day of hiking. Rhonda's cooking was exquisite. Everything was over the top wonderful, and my husband and I cannot recommend this Inn enough!! On our first morning there, we had to leave before breakfast to get to Glacier, and Chris and Rhonda packed us a to go meal. It was perfect and all the containers they gave us were compostable!! It is so worth it to splurge on the stay here!

I loved every minute of my two-night stay at the Garden Wall Inn. My room and bathroom were beautiful and perfect in every way. Fresh flowers from the garden were a lovely welcome, as were the nightly chocolates. Rhonda was incredibly helpful and full of local information when I called to make my reservation. Once I was there, Chris took complete care of me. I had to leave before breakfast both mornings, so he packed up delicious treats (including specially made gluten-free muffins) and left them in a cooler for me to grab--along with fresh french press coffee--on my way out. He also provided great dining recommendations, directed me to the weekly farmers market and helped me figure out the most scenic driving route to Bozeman. I cannot recommend the Garden Wall Inn enough. I will definitely be back!

Absolutely splendid B&B! This was our R&R stay after 6 days biking and hiking in Glacier and now we are rested and spoiled! Chris and Rhonda are incredibly attentive and friendly: delicious and gorgeous breakfasts with local, organic ingredients; coffee or tea delivered to your room 30 min before breakfast; a beautiful afternoon snack upon request; local chocolates on your pillow at night; bubbly for our anniversary. The room we had wasn’t large, but so comfortable with nice toiletries and robes. And a bathtub with bath salts! There are several lovely common areas for relaxing inside and out. They provide lots of information on Glacier and Whitefish, and even some restaurant recommendations for other places we’re going in MT (because after their breakfasts, I would eat anywhere they recommend). Thank you Chris and Rhonda for taking such good care of us!

Great, great place to stay. The inn is comfortable, spotless, and beautifully decorated. Hosts Chris and Rhonda are just lovely—they go out of their way to make guests feel welcome and cared for, with thoughtful attention to detail. The breakfasts were wonderful too. We came to see Glacier National Park but staying at Garden Wall Inn elevated the whole experience and made it feel special. Really one of the nicest inns we've stayed at and we travel a fair bit.

Rhonda and Chris, longtime owners/chefs, have created a guest experience that is unmatched in my travels. Their boutique inn is a warm and inviting place located within short walking distance of downtown Whitefish. As nice as the inn is, the real magic comes from the Old World style of service provided by Chris (who lives on the property) and both Chris and Rhonda at breakfast . From coffee brought to your room before breakfast, to the chef prepared breakfast itself, the afternoon hors d'oeuvres and beverages, recommendations to restaurants for dinner as well as places to visit including the inside scoop to Glacier Nat'l Park, there's not a detail that goes unnoticed. Chris grew up in the area and Rhonda has lived there a long time. I could write a book about how wonderful a stay at Garden Wall Inn is, but I'll conclude by quoting Tina Turner...they're "Simply the Best".

What a perfect place to end our MT vacation! Chris and Rhonda were AMAZING. The Inn is small, but very clean and comfortable. It's the perfect location to walk anywhere in downtown Whitefish. Chris goes above and beyond to make sure there are special touches (i.e. high-end bath products, glass of wine, etc.) And the breakfasts? Absolutely incredible! We will definitely be coming back!!!

Best B&B ever. We stayed three nights and the three breakfasts were the best meals we had during our whole ten day trip. Chris and Rhonda are truly two of the nicest people we’ve ever met. We were amazed by their warmth and hospitality as well as the perfectly appointed inn and gourmet meals. Our stay at the Garden Wall in was more memorable than the beauty of Glacier Park.

I stayed at the Garden Wall Inn with hosts Chris and Rhonda in June 2022 and could not have asked for a more enjoyable experience. Everything about my stay was absolutely perfect... the location, the room, the food, the service, the cleanliness the outdoor spaces and the valuable local knowledge that Chris provided. I will just add two more things. The first is that it is comical that Google has this place listed as a two-star hotel, the Garden Wall Inn easily bests any four-start hotel at which I have stayed and is on par with a five-star experience. The second is that I typically stay at higher-end corporate hotels versus boutique hotels or B&B's, but this trip has likely changed my preferences towards smaller places forever.

What an incredible "Home away from Home" this quaint little Bed and Breakfast was to me and my sister. We were greeted by Chris and Rhonda and shown to our beautiful, exceptionally clean and cozy room. We stayed for three nights and had delicious breakfasts out in the garden each morning and a plate of homemade appetizers and wine every evening. With walking distance to absolutely everything we so enjoyed our quiet days at the Garden Wall Inn.

My partner and I have been lucky to travel all over the world and stay in some wonderful, beautiful places and the Garden Wall Inn is up there in the best hotel/lodging experiences we’ve ever had!Chris and Rhonda bring a whole new meaning to “attention to detail.” From knowing your names at check in, to your morning coffee tray, to a daily 3 course gourmet breakfast, luxurious linens and toiletries, impeccable (dare I say cottagecore?) spotless decor, to turn down service complete with local chocolates, our stay went far above and beyond our expectations. They are true experts of NW Montana and Glacier Park, and have great recommendations for dining, outdoor activities, and more. That the GWI is a labor of love for them is evident at every turn and we can’t wait to return soon!
