Eugene T. Mahoney State Park offers beautiful scenery and a variety of activities for visitors. Families can enjoy multiple well-kept playgrounds, paddle boats, and picnic areas with great views. There are many restrooms available, particularly in the summer. The park is dog-friendly, featuring concrete paths for walking and back trails for exploration. While the parking fee may seem high, the spacious campsites are designed for easy trailer access. Visitors can fish, camp, and enjoy nature, although some may find the noise from the nearby interstate a bit distracting. Reservations for cabins should be made well in advance. Overall, it is a great place to relax and enjoy the outdoors.
It’s a nice park but is missing the personal touch like Platte River State Park has.
