Your experience will vary depending on the coaches. My children played volleyball here for two years and we pulled them after many issues over the two years. The refs are learning and I get that 100%, you may want to take note if you ever have a young ref looking to her mom, who also happens to be one of the coaches your playing against and she double checks she’s making the right call with her mom. Also be on the lookout for some coaches who cheat repetitively. Going to ruffle some feathers here saying this but as someone who has been a part higher quality select programs, you get what you pay for with BJSA. The quality of parents, staff, and players are commensurate with the cost, which is LOW. Expect poor sportsmanship here, parents can be rude. If you have any issues you can go ahead and avoid the director Matt. He will treat you terribly and act like he couldn’t be bothered to address issues. God speed.

My kids love this place. All 3 have different interests in sports. All 3 go here every chance they get.

Reminds me of good old youth sports. Great place to get started or keep on getting better.

My kids have been involved in the different sports that BJSA offers for about a year now. Flag football, volleyball, cheer, basketball, wrestling... We've done it all haha. I have zero complaints. We've had awesome coaches, the facility is nice and clean, and it is a very welcoming and inclusive environment. The biggest one for me is how well organized everything has been so far! I can't say the same for other organizations we've tried out in the past. If you have a kid 5-14 interested in sports, this is your place.

My son wrested for BJSA. It was his first year. I was dissatisfied with the lack of coaching. Kids were clearly favored. My son would be on time and punctual ready for his bout during wrestling and the couches would need to be called over the intercom because they did not notice their own wrestler on the mats. Unlikely we will participate in other sports through BJSA.

If you're looking for a place that promotes poor sportsmanship, terrible parent spectators, and unwelcoming cliques... this is your place. If you enjoy good human beings... keep your kids away from this place.

I've come here since I was in elementary school. Now my daughter attends for volleyball. It's been over 20 years of great management by Matt Goetz and years of wonderful volunteer coaches. Will continue coming here for as long as we can!

My son has wrestled for BJSA since he was very young. He's done both novice and open divisions and has had nothing but positive experiences. In fact, he wrestled in a Kearney tournament where he ended up being the only BJSA wrestler on one of the days. I was extremely impressed that ALL the wrestling coaches showed up to coach and support this one wrestler during that tournament. They genuinely care about each athlete.I highly recommend BJSA.A
