Awesome place to get engine work done

Brian did machine work on our matching numbers engine block, with documentation on piston to valve clearance. Not long after we had car finished we discovered those numbers weren't even close, as we actually had negative clearance and bent every intake valve and half the exhaust valves. He had me go through a bunch of nonsense to try to find the cause of the clatter prior to finding the bent valves, just to find out he lied on the paperwork and wouldn't warranty a penny of his lack of competence. Now the engine locked up and most likely cracked the factory block as all coolant ended up in oil pan, and he built the bottom end. Also recommended a specific rear main seal cap to avoid leaks, it leaks like a sieve. He'll be getting a call if I find rod bolt loose or if he used original bolts and charged us for new set, and he'll be on the hook for serious refund. Incompetent, non trust worthy, lacks true customer service. Worst place around to get engine work done, terrible quality work. I've been a mechanic for just over 30 years, this is completely unexceptable.Service: Motor building

Dad had all machine work done and receipts to show clearances. Paperwork showed .120 piston to valve clearance on intake valves, .180 clearance on exhaust valves, but after getting engine running every intake valve smashed into the pistons. Took apart and discovered a minus .020 clearance on intake valves and zero clearance on exhaust, costing us $1000 for repairs on an engine with less than 500 miles. They would not stand behind their work and compensate us a dime, although I had paperwork and photos to prove.

Have no engine warranty on there obvious own screw up. Building an engine with known (he admitted) grooves in cylinder walls doesn't make sense at all.

Can't build an engine that doesn't even see 5000rpm and has never got hot. And is now blown up after barely any use.
