Menards is a home improvement store where almost anything you can imagine for home improvement is available. Customers have a love/hate relationship with the store. They appreciate the rebates, amazing deals, and seasonal prices and sales that can't be beaten, noting that quite a few things are cheaper here than at Walmart. The store is great for shopping, always seeming fully stocked with no empty bins. Many employees are nicer and more willing to help, offering amazing, exceptional, helpful, and knowledgeable customer service without being intrusive. Staff are happy to assist in finding and explaining what is needed and how to use it for projects like bathroom remodels or building a ramp. However, experiences can vary, with some visits being very lacking in customer service. Some checkout cashiers can seem unhelpful, less than enthused, and uninformed about store processes like financing. The need to visit for unexpected repairs also contributes to the mixed feelings, but the end results for projects often look fabulous.
Almost anything you can imagine for home improvement is here. We are remodeling our bathroom and the staff was so helpful in finding and explaining what we needed and how to use it.
