Jim’s is great to deal with , I see other reviews aren’t very good dealing with him . The reality is there are still good old school people in the world. You be respectful and you’ll have a good experience

Don't give out correct information, show up, reservation is misleading. Person charge at office, gave misleading information when called before hand. A car is not a SUV..

Zero stars. Stranded here and wouldn't stay open another 5 minutes so I had time to uber there to get back to Minnesota.

We were stuck in grand island with a truck breakdown and we’re 20 minutes away from the rental center they closed in 20 minutes he wouldn’t stay 10 min late so he said better luck next time. Cause he had “plans” And stranded us in grand island for the weekend. Garbage. Horrible business

This place must be the cheapest car rental place around. At least it was in 2019. I was looking to rent a car one way from Nebraska to Florida and every rental place wanted almost double the rate if you don't return the car at the same location where you picked it up from. But this Budget car rental gave me the same rate even I dropped it off in Florida. They also picked me up in Central City, NE and gave me a free ride to Grand Island where Budget car rental was located, which is about 30 miles.

Horrible customer service hands down! Paid upfront online. Received confirmation email. Nothing stated about having card on file in person when picking up car. Quick to take money. Slow to explain policies and refunds…. Went to ENTERPRISE and got our car right away with better rates without reservations.

Rented a car to drive around and my friend was going to take my truck back to Colorado Springs. We decided it was fiscally more responsible to have him take the rental back and drop it at the airport there as we had called the budget headquarters in Omaha and were told no problem, we could drop it any where. Upon arrival there said it’s be another 150 to drop the car off. Wasn’t happy about that but okay. So how the heck did 150 become 350? I’ll be disputing this with my credit card company. That is the most dishonest thing I’ve seen in a long time. Guess they need the money awful bad. Sad that a company that large is basically a lying group of thieves.

Great prices, unfortunately the gentleman who was supposed to be helping me was very rude.and uninformative, he neglected to inform me of all the documents I needed to present, even after meeting with him in person the day before.

One star because negatives aren't an option. Not only was this the worst customer service in over 47 years on this earth, the bully behind the counter appeared to take great pleasure in being cruel. Because this was during an emotionally charged time for me, I've waited six weeks to leave the review to be sure I'm as fair as possible. The Friday before Thanksgiving, I received a sudden an unexpected call telling me that my mother in Colorado had been placed in hospice care and was expected to pass any time. Unsure if my old truck could handle a 400+ mile trip safely, I rented a car through Travelocity; the only car available within 400+ miles on a holiday weekend was at the Budget in GI which is an hour and a half from me. I reserved it to pick up the following morning and began racing to make arrangements.I'll skip over the inconvenience of being forced to stand out in the cold wind while the man inside did whatever he was doing on the other side of the locked door for nearly five minutes and so on (I was wearing my mask, as required). When he finally let me in (without a greeting), I explained that I was there to pick up my rental car and he snapped "Got a credit card?"I explained that I was using a debit card (something I have done literally dozens of times in CO but this was the first time in NE) and he huffed at me, "Did you bring your utility bills, banks statements, and insurance?"Confused, I said I had my insurance only to be cut off by him sneering, "Of course you didn't bother to read the terms. Nobody does."Actually, the website I rented through made no mention that there were additional requirements for renting with a debit card. (Screen shots in the pic section) I had read them. Still, all I wanted was my car so I could get to my mom. I didn't ask for an exception, I didn't ask for him to break any rules, all I asked was if they had wifi I could connect to because I didn't have a cell phone signal. He rolled his eyes and said I had to give him a paper copy, not show it to him online. I asked if I could email it to him and PAY him to print them, he said no. Then, as if he was doing me a favor, said I could go home and print them and if my car was still there when I got back, he'd rent it to me.Except, that would take three hours and he closed in under one hour and would be closed until Monday - that was a day and a half away for me to even start the 6 hour drive and my mom was literally hour to hour.I couldn't help breaking into tears. I explained why I needed the car and begged him to just let me email it to him and print them, he refused and I returned to where my sister was waiting, so upset I could barely explain why I wasn't picking up the car.In desperation, we stopped at Enterprise to see if by some miracle they had a last minute car available on a holiday weekend. They didn't.You know what they DID have? Compassion and an honest desire to help another person in pain. The woman behind the counter listened to my story and offered to let me email HER the documents that I needed so SHE could print them for me (at no cost) so that I could go back to Budget to get my car and get home to my mom. In the six weeks since then, I've made three trips home to deal with my mom's estate and every one of them was in an Enterprise rental. I will never do business with Budget again, which is sad because I'd even purchased a minivan from their sales division in the past.(I wasn't able to make it back to Budget before the closed sign flipped, but I was finally able to get home to say goodbye to my mom, no thanks to Budget. <3 )

Very friendly, great rates, pickup was pristine, manager was very conscious about disinfecting everything, including the keys as he set them on the counter for me. Took an extra call to get the receipt emailed to me but that's no big deal. I'll use this location for any future vehicle rentals.
