Clean place, good staff. My reason for 4 stars instead of 5? I went to buy a fish, and was told I couldn't buy one. 50 tanks of fish and not one fish could be sold because " we just got them, and they are in quarantine."

Stay away this place is old and not taken care of upon walking in the at 1040am the store lights were not on, seen all the aquatic plants are all brown. Very poor care for the fish...stay away.....this place has maybe a year left of being open....i drove an hour and a half to spend less than 10 minutes looking at fish besfore the smell of the rodents was overwhelming.....Stay away from this place

Went into to get a cat tree and left with the right one at the right price using the app for price matching through the assistance of a male associate (sorry I didn't get his name). He provided excellent service, and he gets 5 stars. The store gets 4 stars for a lack of employees while waiting for assistance. Also, half of the store lights were off. That was weird, creepy, and hard to see product. What was that about?

Overall, the experience with the store was fine, and most of the employees were actually fun to talk to, except for Allison. We had just purchased two bearded dragons, and Allison was by far the worst employee we encountered at PetCo. She was deliberately rude to my mom when checking to see if we had benefits and was in an overall bad mood when we dealt with her. She also had an attitude when I asked her about the types of tanks and their prices. All the other employees were pleasant and enjoyable. I hope that next time, if an employee needs help, they find literally anyone else so as not to bother Allison, because apparently, doing your job is too hard for her.

ALWAYS takes 15-20 minutes just for someone to come help with getting fish out no matter what time you come.

It says that there's ferrets here but there's not and in the cage that says ferrets are native to Europe there's guinea pigs.

I have never in my life been told I couldn't buy a 29 cent goldfish until I could prove that I had a big enough aquarium already set up and running to put it in but I could purchase it if I was I was going to feed it to another animal! Goldfish patrol interrogation was pretty extreme for 29 cent fish and we were questioned for a good 20 minutes by the goldfish agent that was on duty yesterday and I am surprised that a back ground check wasn't required! They said they couldn't let me purchase the fish for 29 cents if there was a chance it might not have the proper accommodations but have no problem if you are buying it to feed it alive to another animal?? Really? I was willing to take a gamble and risk the loss of 99 cents to get my Grandkids a fish after we passed the screening process . I have had fish my whole life and they have lived for years and not once was interrogated like the fbi for a goldfish. Honestly though 3 small goldfish requires a 55 gallon tank? Why do they sell the goldfish bowls that I.have seen fish in if you have to prove that you have a tank bigger than our TV or " they can't sell you one"
I actually was surprised the petco agent didn't require a visit to the house to verify! They refer to them as " feeders" and no problem with them being eaten alive but if you don't have a 5 star aquarium with every accommodation you aren't qualified to spend the 29 cents to purchase a fish to enjoy. I hate to think of what I would have to go through or what I have to have to try to get a cricket from there? Petco patrol is worse than the fbi. Also- day 2 and all 3 fish are doing well! It's pretty screwed up when it's easier to purchase a gun than to buy a goldfish from petco.

Was next online for check out on 8/8/24 cashier didn't say anything just disappeared for 10 minutes. Nobody else in store except for myself and another person waiting to check out. Very unprofessional of this cashier

I wasn't greeted at all. Wasn't given a bag for my items, she just left them in the counter. No thank you from the cashier. Actually nothing from the cashier at all. Very disappointed.
