I finally disconnected service from Spectrum. I've been with them for several years. I looked into a wifi service and it was less than 50 per month. The large variety of streaming services offer everything you could want, and most are affordable and others free. My service with Spectrum on the Silver Plan came to $170 per month with no internet and only 1 receiver. I asked for a 2nd receiver install and they wanted a $65 service call to do so. They are lucky to have our business to begin with.The fees Spectrum attached to your bill include..1. Broadcast TV surcharge...$23.20 per month2. Franchise Fee... $8.78 per month.3. Cable Receiver... rental $10.99 per month for each Receiver.I have never been happier I dropped Spectrum and went to a streaming service. There are so many channels and movies available it's unbelievable with the streaming options I have. All of this for half the price I paid per month with Spectrum and that includes wifi service.I have already recommended changing from Spectrum to many others and will continue to do so. Spectrum also raised my cost for the 2nd time in 1.5 years. We also lost some good channels, due to their dispute with Disney+, we received Disney+ in return...which few people want. I will never do business with this company again. It's greed gone wild. The people that make these decisions in the board rooms behind closed doors make decisions that financially overcharge customers to the largest extent possible. It's completely gotten out of control.

Had spectrum for years, way overpriced and then when I went to cancel to go to fiber, they said oh we can lower your bill tremendously. Why didn’t they offer me the lower price when I was still a spectrum customer ?????My advice go to fiber

Spectrum in Kearney, Nebraska will not accept equipment returns or cancel service. Our account was “mysteriously” put in a seasonal hold. Spectrum is losing customers in droves to Allo…to the point that they won’t even cancel service for existing customers. Spare yourselves the agony and don’t even use Spectrum. The customer service is horrible. They add on services you don’t ask for. The bill is never the same. There always seems to be an issue with Spectrum. My wife and I had to return our equipment to the UPS Store and Spectrum is still going to be charging us for services we’re not even going to be using. This company is dead in the water. Avoid!!

Just like Walmart. 5 booths and only 2 manned. Don't get me wrong, the 2 employees do a great job working with you and resolving problems. But, typical corporate asking an employee to work time and half for half of what they should pay.

Trash customer service, trash service, trash equipment, over priced! the list goes on! GO ALLO and get treated right! oh and they are raising rates on us to over $100 for 500mb download 20mb upload when Allo is $93 for 1gb download and 1gb upload. its a no brainer!

Terrible. If I could choose ANY other internet provider, I would. Outages are common. Customer service is rude, long wait times and people who give contradictory answers.

Long wait rude people and there prices suck. Get an antenna and stream but don't fall for their streamING package.

Terrible, terrible internet service. It cuts in and out so frequently that by the time you're on the phone with customer service, it's back up, then it goes down again later. Calling would fix it for a day then it'd go down again. I just gave up asking for service and looked for another provider. I canceled my Spectrum account and moved to Allo fiberoptic on March 9th. I was automatically charged another $69.99 on March 21st because my "billing cycle started on March 3rd and ends on April 2nd, and Spectrum does not pro-rate the account when you cancel." I've never heard of a utility company that refused to pro-rate for service when disconnected. Absolutely ridiculous and I will never, EVER use Spectrum again. Their customer service representative has been spamming me with calls, trying to get me to reconnect for $29.99/month. They could pay me that amount and more and I still wouldn't do it.I've had Allo since March 9th and the quality has been fantastic. No outages, no slow downs. My boyfriend plays online games and said that the latency with Allo has been around 2-3 times lower than with Spectrum. I no longer get dropped off of video calls for work, and we haven't experienced any lagging or loss of streaming services like we did before. It's cheaper as well.

We used Charter for quite a few years but were constantly frustrated with slow internet and annual price increases. Once fiber came to town, we jumped ship and haven’t had issues since. Ending our service with Spectrum was like a cliche bad break up with a clinging ex. And they continue to send us a bill for a router that we never used (we bought our own). They once had a monopoly on service here in town and did not value customers enough to maintain good service and reasonable prices and now it’s showing with the lack of customer loyalty.

Worst internet provider I've ever had cant wait till allo comes to kearney and I can get something that works no matter what I can promise you spectrum can not go 1 week without having internet issues its frustrating paying for something that only works occasionally when it wants to and they can never give a clear answer on why they are having issues. I know the answer they don't care about the service they provide they only care about making money in towns they have a monopoly in cause no other internet providers were around. Enjoy the little time you have left in kearney cause I promise allo will take the majority of your customers with how spectrum is.
