“Knowledgeable staff who are eager to help and plentiful selection, my only qualm is the recent shortage of new DVDs, though I understand the reasoning due to current inflation, logistic issues and wotnot.”
“This dollar tree has some of the most amazing employees working here! I am having hard time remembering their names and I hate that, because I would love to give credit where credit is due. My family and I lost our home and just about all of our belongings. We had been staying at a hotel up the street from this location and we had regularly come in to shop and buy miscellaneous items we needed through out our hotel stay. My kids and I always talked to the workers and at one point we had discussed our loss. They said they were praying for us when I mentioned we had a potential home we were waiting to hear back from on application being accepted. When we got a place we went in to grab some household stuff, they asked if we had been approved and got a home and they were overjoyed when we told them yes. It was just very very kind of them to not only remember us while we were there but that they seemed to really care about the outcome of our situation!
They were always so helpful with finding items we couldn’t locate, were very friendly, and absolutely should be rewarded for their incredible customer service & genuine kindness they show. I will go out of my way to shop at this location over others because of these employees :)”
“While for my mom to get her hair done at Xenon I walked over here and did a little shopping. I was pleasantly surprised by how fully stocked the shelves were and the overall cleanliness of the store. 100 percent better than dollar tree stores I've been too. They have a very large selection of food items which I did not realize. I would shop here again.”

The staff was professional and everyone had smiles on their faces making the atmosphere.in the store relaxed and at ease, and I must add everyone took time out to ask if I needed any help. Shy was exceptional engaging with the customers. I see him managing his own store someday. The store itself was well stocked and organized and very clean. I've been to quite a few Dollar Trees this store is by far the best one I've shopped in. In any category you put this particular store it would receive high scores and rank at the top of it's class. “I live in Florida, but was visiting some friends, and I stopped in this location for a second. Edie was awesome in helping me find what I needed and even a couple of things I had forgotten about.
I work in retail management, and employees like Edie are a gem. Keep a close eye on her, or I will take her.”

“I love it! It has a lot more items than most of the Dollar Trees I've been to. They have throw pillows for $5, Cascade packets for $1.25 (6 tablets), a huge collection of candy and much more. I went today and I know I'll go back soon.”

“Me tiring for the school means looking for crafts the kids can do ...making Valentines for their parents is always a hit! Lots of crafts to choose from.......candy, socks ...spring veggie and herb seeds will be fun to do as well ..to watch their progress as they grow...you can't beat the value ..that's for sure!”
“This store is huge and the cleanest DG that I have shopped in. As a traveler, DG is my go-to store in each state. This by far has been the cleanest with most stocked items.”
“I drove to this Dollar General today to find an item for my son, who had been pestering me for weeks for a Dollar General-only item that constantly sells instantly upon being stocked. I checked online and saw these items were probably in stock, but from my experience at numerous other stores, the online inventory is often wrong. I had been to 6 or 7 other Dollar Generals, and the employees were typically grumpy, unhelpful, and unwilling to check backstock to see if they had these items in the back of the store, since shelves were always empty.
Fast forward to today (04/07/25), I drove to the Springfield DG at about 8 am, right at opening time. I went in and was met by both Hattie and John. I asked if they had the product I was looking for, and they said they were sold out. John immediately called another store to check inventory for me, which was super cool, but not successful. I told Hattie that I had been searching for weeks for this item for my son, and she and John immediately started searching new inventory containers to try and find them for me. To my surprise, they found the item and sold it to me without skipping a beat.
I left that store feeling pretty good, not only because I finally was able to get items my son and I had been searching for for weeks, but because two friendly employees treated me like a human, had great interpersonal communication and guest service skills, and went the extra mile to help out a customer instead of doing the easy thing and simply saying they didn't have the item I was looking for, like every other dollar general had in the recent past.

“Our cashier was very friendly and just seemed like a really good person. This place has a great variety of everyday needs and some fun items. Very reasonable prices. Maybe not the best quality around and the place feels a bit dark but overall reasonable for what you would expect at the Dollar Tree.”

“I have a terrific idea for any negative comments. First get a hold of the manager. Second offer to volunteer on one of their busiest days(maybe you will get lucky & be able to fill in for someone who is ill ,coughing, running a fever so they can go home or to the doctor). Be sure to have the manager put your time you work on ill employees card.
Lastly , take a good look around at the messes the customers just made rummaging thru everything. Now time that by twenty.
I shop there all the time & never once have I had any employee be rude. THANK YOU DOLLAR STORE EMPLOYEES, MANAGERS. GREAT PLACE TO SHOP!

I also like how retro it is (but probably cause their to lazy to update but whatever) and some credit as is basically the only store in town cause I guess no one wants the big piece of land near the trailer park. “The manager is great and gives out wonderful customer service. I'm a secret shopper for few franchise. I always go to the 13th s/[re. Fast but on truckk days an next day there's a lot to put out so a little cudder.But I have seen in the month of December selves were stock and items were off the store. So there's been a some good management with her employees being organize an the flow of customers just came in spaces but steady .And a big applause for th÷m being team players. I was I'mpress by the last few times I shop there . Hard workers with pleasant smile. ... GREAT JOB! GREAT CREW !”

“Real good selection, considering the size and really good price considering the location. It’s a great urban bodega. However, there’s no real good parking. I had a park about a block and a half down the street so perfect for a quick pick up but not for your monthly grocery store shopping.”
