Harbor Freight used to get a bad wrap for the quality of tools, but in my opinion that has drastically changed in the near past. Not only are the tools on par with the quality of other stores around town, but they are always cheaper.
Joining the Inside Track Club is worth the money as well for the sales they run exclusively for members.

I’ll start by saying i shop here all the time and the people are always great. Today the clerk with a nose ring working the register is giving some guy attitude for no good reason at all and then turns his attention on me as I'm checking out. The way this kid told me ' We can use our words' when I shook my head no for the warranty was quite the display of how not to be professional. It's obvious he gets away with this all the time.
I spoke with the manager but this seems to be a personality issue so I bet nothing gets done. Personally I would never let a person like that tarnish my company name. I understand one bad egg doesn't ruin the dozen but I hope I don't see this kid on the register. He belongs in the back where he can’t offend people with his unprofessional attitude toward customers.

Went to the store to make a large purchase that they did not have in stock and had to be ordered. On a whim, called the store a couple of day later to see if they had one in and found out they had received one for store stock, but could not move the item to fill my order, which isn't promised until almost a month out. People on the phone were pretty rude about their policy and their complete lack of understanding or willingness to help out.
